How You get so amazing guitar tone? I ask about chain (amp/cab/stomp etc.) Could You give some advices? Your chords sounds so clear, but still powerfull!
@GiftedNq Meshuggah's bassist does this, he's actually uptuned, works fine, would work the same on guitar. Takes a hell of a lot to break a guitars neck with string tension alone.
My goodness, his vibrato drives me CRAZY.. Not trolling or anything, I swear. But there's so much noise when he does his vibrato. It's like: [NOTE] *tick tick tick tick tick ...*
And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...
No, I don't have an eight string guitar, so how about sending one of those 8 string beauties down here to a struggling guitarist in Australia. The last time I checked the standard RG2228 was well over $3,000, way too much for a guitarist on a budget.
@xXNeoShredderXx Because Ferraris dont do anything except go fast. If you want something that does work, youd pick the Chevy (in my mind its a truck) When it comes to endorsements, you can get almost the exact same guitar from every company. Same woods, same hardware. The difference is the money.
@GiftedNq Well u try getting a bass guitar an octave under a low-F and you'll soon know why...not only would u need a .185 gauge string, but amps would struggle to replicate the note...and u can give up trying to play triplets! So he plays in the same octave (on their 8-string stuff) as bass has a stronger foundation even in the same octave. As for strings, no need for special just a gauge that works..to up tune maybe gauge 9 or 8...but SRV played gauge 12 in Eb standard, personal preference
??? some ibanez models look cool as hell. the one right there for exemple, and the darkstone is sexy as hell too. although i prefer schecter and jackson in terms of feel ibanez is always one of the first name to come up when you're talking about fast necks.
Fair enough mate, you're more than welcome to have your own opinion. But may I ask if you intend to switch out those horrible stock pickups with some blackouts or 707s?
if i one day have a son, he will named Ihsahn.
I just got an 8 string myself 8) It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
I love my Ibanez. It was love at first sight.
This is what I imagine Vlad, The Impaler would look like.

holy hell great riffs
I love how my friends diss on me for playing Ibanez Guitars...then I show them some videos like this, of kickass guitarists playing them...
Dont forget about Tosin!
@GreatestSoloEver ibanez rule.
@blogtvpunk why?
@UFCfanboy7898 More tonal range, chunkier, heavier sound and different timbre.
he got much more proficient over the years
@superlou1s its not gay just to many for in my opinion i go 7 max man cause after that the necks are just to big
*Down to Fsharp, not UP.
Can anyone else see Opie from Sons of Anarchy????
@GiftedNq Nope, strings would be fine.
@blogtvpunk
lol
@timijai22 Sadly, they believe that players like Slash and Kirk Hammett are the best...
NO MAIN RIFF!
Ibanez = best guitars
@ElliotsMedia what has strings? guitars and women... so actually both cannot be gay at all, no matter how many they have ;)
ibanez have no sustain at all
This song is awesome, I hadn't heard it until this lesson, but will definitely have to check out his solo stuff now. ^_^

Sounds super epic, best Guitarworld video i've seen... ever.

ugh, might as well not watch this vid, i have 6 strings, but have never seen a 8 string in action before so.........
Молоток)
That's a fat guitar. Suppose it could double as an ironing board
what a harmony
NORWAY FUCK YEAH

One of the few metal guitarists to use an 8 string and not sound like Meshuggah.
oldbobscoo yeah, djent is annoying math
@BlackDiamond351 Not exclusively 8 string... plus if you notice in the actual lesson he's using his Ibanez 6.
is it just me or could all of that have been played on a max cavalera four stringer?
xD
@ljoekelsoey4 I love my £200 Ibanez XD
im not much for 8 strings, 9 strings are the way to go... if only i had the money for a conklin custom shop :(

@GreatestSoloEver Do they realize that two of the BEST guitarists ever known play Ibanez? Like, Satriani and Vai.
??? some ibanez models look cool as hell. the one right there for exemple, and the darkstone is sexy as hell too. although i prefer schecter and jackson in terms of feel ibanez is always one of the first name to come up when you're talking about fast necks.

Yeah, they do it, because most of Ibanezes doesn´t look as cool as let´s say ESP´s... But they play as good, if not better than them!
So that was like 3 guitars stacked on top of each other? Great lick! Loved it!
@GiftedNq Steve Vai has done it, but problem is the added tension means if your strings will break quicker
that was a long 5 mins but my god how that end part sounded.... perfect
There IS a 30-fret RG. I'll take that over the Xiphos any day and the S7420 is great for highly aggressive metal too.
Solution = get new friends that know quality manufacturers and the beastly shredders that play them.
ese es un master con guitarra de 8 cuerdas
In my opinion the Xiphos is really ugly :P I prefer the S-series guitar.
8 strings fucking rule. Bottom Line!
dammit i was hoping to learn the spider riff from the song :(
mmm those chords he plays at the end sound so crunchy.
@metllica001 tuned up to an F#
That's one meaty tone for an 8-string!
4:20 it all comes together. Black metal supremacy!
Sorry dude, forgot about the 7string Xiphos!
Does his 8 string guitar has EMG pickups?
@timijai22 Don't forget Gilbert!
this is awsome
0:39 made me buy an 8 string guitar!
Ibanez are AMAZING
your friends obviously have no idea who Herman Li, Steve Vai, and Tosin Abasi are.
Are you implying Herman Li is good?
That's funny.
