dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days :)
@Josh York That's not true. You think it's only you "Americans", but that is because you live in America. If you lived in any European country, you would know that it's the same in here. There are good, humble, bad, arrogant etc. people in every country in the world. It's all about people themselves, doesn't matter in which country they live in, but of course there might be some exceptions ;-)
All places have ignorance to some extent, but America seems to have some special type ignorance. I'm from Indonesia and someone asked me what part of China that was......
***** Please re-read my comment. I said all places. I may have singled America out when I said the the thing about Indonesia but I have met many Europeans online and in real life and not a single one didn't know what Indonesia was. Of course there are ignorant people in Europe, but when it comes to geography, history, ethnicity, and such, they aren't majority.
***** I'm from England, so I cannot speak on the behalf of Europe entirely, but England is educated about the world. But some of the Americans I have spoken to in person and on the internet seem to have a mental block and high levels of ignorance in their system. My opinion personally.
As an american myself I stereotyped them because of their music. Thinking they were "African American"...but the thing that I loved about this interview it got me to really open up my mind into learning more about other countries because lets face it I'm just another one of those arrogant Americans and I don't want to be that anymore. I'm so disappointed in myself....This really inspired me to be a better human being and to look outside of the United States and enjoy the rest of the world too. New Years Resolution is to read more that's for sure. :)
That is an amazing new years resolution and a great post, good for you! I feel like I need to evaluate my life now, im sure im doing something wrong...
LOL! This is pure "I don't see colour" lies. There's a huge national socialist/white supremacist movement in Norway right now. Comments like yours are nothing more than white Norwegians patting themselves on the back for how progressive they like to pretend they are.
I'm Norwegian and white as fuck but i don't look at Nico and Vinz as black but just a Norwegian like me :) btw Norwegians got bars even the white ones...
Henrik Økland The love of your fucking life could be black for all I care - you knowing someone who is black is not an argument. I'm not saying we're supposed to "label" black people just for the sake of it. I'm saying they ARE black AND Norwegian, and probably proud of that, so it's dumb of you basically saying "they don't have to worry about being black, they're Norwegian anyways" as if it's wrong to be black. Ask your cousins if they think what you said was cool, chances are they'll be offended.
Love these guys. Intelligent (easy on the eyes, too :D), and like the guy was saying: music that is easy to digest, BUT beautiful music that sounds like nothing else right now. I remember the first time I heard this in my friends car (I dont listen to the radio, I am glad she happened to have her radio at that moment ), I was blown away. It sounded 80s/90s, but modern at the same time. Glad to have these guys around.
I remember comming to the US as a Norwegian. My friend was asian-norwegian. First they were like you don't look Norwegian to me. Because I am not blonde (I am ethnically Norwegian though, just that every Norwegian isn't steriotypical blonde). So they were of course even more dumb-found when my friend said he was Norwegian too. Looking at their faces it was like: "No that is just not possible! Only American's are allowed to be mixed".
This was an incredible interview!! I loved hearing Nico rap in three different languages ...that was dope!! These guys are going to go far!! They are very down to earth, extremely smart and easy on the eyes!!! I felt the hosts of the show made them feel very comfortable and welcomed ...well done fellas!! I truly enjoyed this ...thanks for sharing! I love this group ...stay blessed and continued success to you ALL :o)
it's so cool seeing these guys be big and adding that African flavour to mainstream music. I'm Ghanaian, born in Norway but raised in Australia so I totally get it :P
Petter Olsen idk man im not 100% sure thats gonna be top 40 here in the states but like they know what theyre doing and they have nice songs and a good amount of fans so i dont think theyll be one hit wonders but im not sure when theyll have that second hit
When people are surpried that they're black, it pisses me off. You can clearly tell that their music is african music. The beat, the guitar chords and even the way they dance in the videos.
I really like these two, they are a breath of fresh air! It is refreshing to see young menthat aren't trying to be like others. I pray longevity for their careers..💕
Nico and Vinz are my heroes. I love these two and they seem down to earth and mellow. These two are true inspiration to young guys like myself who is trying to accomplish dreams that may seem impossible to achieve.
These guys are awesome. Every American high school student should be forced to watch a video like this. Can you imagine the levels of ignorance and cultural barriers that would be broken down?
Being an artist and freating art was never restricted to a certain race or culture, even tho their are great American rappers and it was created by the African-American community, art is universal. :). They are amazing and just like Aus, and England, Norway have a bunch of different race, i have a chilean uncle who lives there. So im not overly suprised by their ethnicity not being white 😁. I really want to live there in the future, such a beautiful country 😄
Hey sorry to tell you that Bro (Talkin about the host of that show) but Jewish is not a freakin ethnicity! It`s a religion, a belief, not a freaking territory or land. You can be black and jewish, chinese and jewish, arabic and jewish...
With it being so easy these days to just file share songs, it would've been nothing for me to just get the songs for free (yes...I do file share). But after listening to Am I Wrong and previewing the album, I knew I wanted to buy the entire thing. So, despite that I was penny pinching, seriously living paycheck to paycheck, I waited and I bought it. Yes, I know, only $8 on iTunes. It goes to show how little money I usually have. I'm SO happy I did though. I fell in love with so many of their other songs like "When The Day Comes" (probably my next favorite...I feel like I'm part of an African dance line when I listen to it, haha! Despite being black, I have NO rhythm but that song makes me dance like nobody is watching :) and I also love "Know What I'm Not", "Imagine" and "Miracles". I'm definitely keeping my eye out on these guys and may much, much more success come to them ^_^
OMG Nico and Vinz am also from Ghana. was born there and lived there for 10yrs. Big respect to nico and vinz, you guys take it to another level and you are inspiration to many. Use to seeing you guys in oslo every now and then, and now repping it worldwide.
So proud of them! They are a such inspiration for black people Who live in Europe! ( and yes there is a lot of black people who live and was born in Europe)
French lyrics : "ok ok okok.....x 188 It goes fast now, clear off quickly of my dance floor, damn it ! Spin that, my cd like a pizza, One, two, three, got a crown in my pocket, huh, I give a lot to my brothers, welcome from the Coast (- Ivory Coast I guess -), I ain't giving credit, I don't trust anyone, in this business, there is really no good people, I swear to yahhhh. Everybody tries to listen between the Walls, nothin clean." Switchin'up the Norwigian...
... She was shocked the moment I started rapping on Norwegian, shock-shock conditions in my body when she was buttoning it up(un-buttoning), cus girls nowadays only be thinking about status, thanks for holding it down with me before I actually was something.
I'm English, and when going over to mainland Europe, I notice everyone seems to speak American English. Is this because it's taught in schools like that? My first time in Switzerland, about 16 years ago, they were using words like vacation, trash etc whereas in England we say holiday, rubbish. These guys seem like great people, what a talent to rap effortlessly in 3 different languages. I Looooved the french one the most too, beautiful language!
Uncle Snoop Actually many are taught American English. I remember when I went to Switzerland the girl I was living with would say words like "chips" and "sweater" and I'd be like why does everyone speak American English!? And she said that's what they're taught in school
d26s10 I´m from Norway and no, we are teached British-English. And some Norwegians do speak British, but that´s not because of the school, it´s the magic from harry potter thats to blame. Me personally are one of the many other Norwegians/Swedes/Dains that speak American. Personally because I think British sound wierd, and american sounds more natural to speak. No offence.
I was so proud of my own homeland when i thought they come from Denmark, but they're from Norway and I'm so Dissapointed of myself... Norway though have many funny and popular songs, and we in Denmark have nothing special... Barbie? It's a stupid and old video, I hate it. Don't make me proud of that shit!
I got a bit annoyed when one of my roommates (from Italy) got mad when I couldn't answer a few questions about the culture and politics of Italy. He was saying that it's so stupid that Americans don't bother learning about other countries, but that he could probably have answered similar questions about America. I pointed out that Italy and America are not comparable, a more accurate comparison is America and Europe. When I asked him some specific questions about Wisconsin (the state our college is located in) he didn't know any more than I knew about Italy. And when he asked me about Europe in general, I knew about as much as he did about America (he knew a bit more but considering I've never lived in Europe he had a fair advantage). Yeah, in general Americans need to know more about other regions than most of us currently do. But until other people are expected to know specifics on every single state in the US, I think it's a bit ridiculous to expect us to know specifics on all the other countries.
fakjbf I agree you comparison has some merit. But it isn't quite the same. I am a European who has lived around in the US and I married to an American. But you seriously can't talk about America being comparable to Europe as the US is far more homogenous. Life is surprisingly similar in Utah, North Dakota and Honolulu. People talk almost the same way despite being really far from each other. Cities are layed out on the same grid. Same chain stores, restaurants, clothes etc. In Europe you can often go to a neighbor city and people speak totally different, or the city looks totally different. Knowing different European countries is far more involved than different American states. Each European have a history that is far longer, more complex than an American state. They also noticeably different from each other in terms of culture, language, lifestyle, language etc. Knowing 5 different American states does not broaden your horizon to the same extent as knowing 5 different European countries.
Nico and vinz have definitely inspired me to do better and push myself until I get my goal of becoming a singer I know I have a one out of a billion chance of becoming famous but I'm going to take that chance and have it become true
I am in love with positivity!!, hence i am absolutely in love with this song. I listen to it every single day!! Big up to Nico and Vince. Crazy production!!!!! maaaad lyrics!!! optimism to the max! I would to do a track with them one day....yeah!!!! that's my dream. One Love!!!!

Culture is different in Norway, we dont think like black or white. They are Norwegian with roots from exp (Ivorian). One love!
Says a white person haha.

It's racism in a way. Sanctimonious af
That's not true. I've experienced a lot of racism and xenophobia growing up in Norway. Most of my friends have as well.

Henrik Økland I'm Norwegian and your comment is kind of retarded. You are saying it it like it's wrong to be black. They are black Norwegians.
***** My two cousins is black :)
***** If your born in norway and black your not Black Norwegian their Norwegian :)
Henrik Økland The love of your fucking life could be black for all I care - you knowing someone who is black is not an argument. This is just a good song I'm not gonna lie. Its been playing on the radio nonstop for a couple of months and I'm still not sick of it.
Love these guys. Intelligent (easy on the eyes, too :D), and like the guy was saying: music that is easy to digest, BUT beautiful music that sounds like nothing else right now. *My new favorite shit..."Hungrier than a starvin' fish..." - NICO & VINZ!!!!!!!*
That was dope! Kult å se dere på HOT 97, og håper Nico kommer til å rappe mer på fransk.
When he freestyles in English he sings about war, but on Norwegian he freestyles about unbuttoning a women's shirt
coz Norwegian don't give a shit about war
+Abel AD not true
+Abel AD it's not that Norwegians don't care try don't see the need to solve everything with wars too show how superior they are
so...
+Marte jeilen that's a good thing. We don't need to go to war all the time
Nico's cute, but Vinz is soooo sexy!!
He should be a model.
I couldn't agree with you more.
I'm Norwegian but because I have brown hair and brown eyes no one ever believes me...
Like people ask if black people are in Alaska...😂

These two guys are total badasses!! Very inspiring young dudes.

When people are surpried that they're black, it pisses me off. You can clearly tell that their music is african music. The beat, the guitar chords and even the way they dance in the videos.

no it's because all the movies/blogs/videos/games are in american English. In school you learn UK english.
absolute spot on observation its because they are taught in an american dialect in school often by american teaches
Uncle Snoop Actually many are taught American English. I remember when I went to Switzerland the girl I was living with would say words like "chips" and "sweater" and I'd be like why does everyone speak American English!? And she said that's what they're taught in school

I get your point kind of...but our states are not equilivent to other countries. It's country vs country.
fakjbf compare apples with apples, you can hardly compare Wisconsin to Italy. You're basically implying America is a continent. Poor form old chap.
fakjbf I agree you comparison has some merit.
*For me, it's really good to see this kind of socio-cultural cross-pollination...I'm floored by their versatility...*
Nico and vinz have definitely inspired me to do better and push myself until I get my goal of becoming a singer I know I have a one out of a billion chance of becoming famous but I'm going to take that chance and have it become true
