Awesome video tutorial, good job, very beneficial for beginners like me. Two suggestions if I can:
    1) do not move the cursor all around, just keep it in the place which You would like to show and make the cursor more visible, please. Sometimes You move the cursor so fast I have to watch the video in slow-motion to see what did You clicked :)
    2) make a short brief summary of the video tutorial at the end. The summary helps me understand the concept of the tutorial much better. Thank You

Hey Paul, love the videos - I have a query still of the best way to attack my project which I wondered if you could feed back on what you would do?
I want to be able to filter Woo products by Width and that is within variations - so I think I can do that using Smart Filters. But if I wanted to add extra fields in the Variations area of woo but without using Attributes - can this be done? I could then for example add more data such as number of handles on a unit, number of doors etc.
I'm struggling to understand the best way to filter my products by features (rather than variations) so for example how would you suggest adding extra feature data like how many sinks a bathroom cabinet has, or add the number of doors and drawers that would be on a unit size - I'd like to have this as filterable data if possible.
Everything I see for Jet seems to be based on a listings site concept - but noone has covered how to maximise the power of woo in the same manner.
    Any ideas of structuring that?
    Keep up the good work
    Mark

Hi Paul, loving these tutorials. Got stuck on a project with ACF and a 100 extra plugins to make it work, so switching it to crocoblock instead since that seems to have it all in one system. One key question I keep having is: when do I use glossaries and when do I use categories? It seems like both are able to do very similar things with being able to query data in different ways. Just trying to understand if there is a reason to use one over the other? I've got different custom post types using the same categories, but now I'm not sure if I should be setting it up as custom fields and glossaries instead? Any views? You set up property types as categories and then property features as a glossary. Basically both could be either, or am I missing something?

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  2 года назад

Glossaries are basically just a centralised list of values that can be used in various places in JetEngine and JetSmartFilters.
Just think of them as a time saver way of populating your filters, lists, etc.

    Hello there!
I hope you can help me here...
I'd like to create a product which has one image.
On the top of image adding empty text fields (for example 5 fields) lets call these fields "A".
And next to the image create another 5 text fields - lets call them "B".
    Now here it is..
When I write something in fields B, it will reflect it immediately and automatically into fields A..
Is it something you can help me with?
If not, do you know how this is called professionally?
I'm using Wordpress - Elementor pro - Jet (if needed)
    thanks a lot!

I'm not too sure, but I'd say at least another 8-10 parts to cover some of the other key areas. But, I've covered most of the main things you'd need for a listing website in these first 5 and the others on the channel (including masterclass videos).

I hope you can help, I have watched and rewatched your videos, but I am clearly still doing something wrong in trying to use Glossaries with Smart Filters - I just can't get it to work
The only way is to use taxonomy and create the same options - that works
But am I misunderstanding Glossaries ? I was hoping to use smart filters to filter the values in a custom post type meta field, via an Archive page
