- 3 NEW Star Wars Films Announced & Other Star Wars Celebration 2023 Madness!-Some seriously BIG news has dropped at Star Wars Celebration 2023. We're are getting three new Star Wars movies! Not only that, but they'll be taking place in three different ERAS of Star Wars! I can't say I was expecting that, but it's an awesome announcement nonetheless and I am SO damn excited by this news!

Today during Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that three new live-action Star Wars films are on the way. Helming the movies are James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka), and Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel, Saving Face).
James Mangold’s movie will go back to the dawn of the Jedi, while Dave Filoni’s will focus on the New Republic, and close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film will be set after the events of Rise of Skywalker, and feature Daisy Ridley back as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order.
In addition to that, a new Ahsoka trailer dropped, as well as a trailer for The Acolyte! We also got some updates on both Andor and Skeleton Crew. Hell yeah!

With Kathleen Kenedy around, I highly doubt they'll be a good story around. I truly hope I'm wrong. But the last trilogy was garbage.
I have been a die hard star wars fan since I could speak. I remember being beyond excited any time new content released. How depressing is it that I didn't even get excited by this because Disney has made me that numb to their product.
I hope that the movie of Mary Sue Rey Palpatine gets never gets released.

Damn…. I thought I heard that Disney would make the sequal trilogy irrelevant, removikg the 3 movies from cannon.
How very disappointing that such is not the case.
It makes no sense for LucasFilm to do that, even if they weren't making a new film with Rey.
