    not enough green , they look great in autumn and winter , but summer they stand out , i fancy something i dont have to chop bushes up to lean against it , but it looks well made

    Nice review, Simon, and looking forward to the follow up (s). The hide doesn’t look as quick and easy as some I have seen, but the camo colours seem to blend in well with the forest. I think you are right about the size of the basic hide, but with the extension that shouldn’t be an issue.

    Nice review Simon. Look forward how you get on with the 600mm, Tripod and the rest of your gear inside the hide.

    Great review! This hide looks so much better than my doghouse pop up blind.
    Congratulations to the winner 😊

      Yes they are good. Lots of nice features inside which I will demonstrate in my second review. Obviously I didn't pay for it but for those looking for a good hide then they are very good.

    It wasn’t very clear in the video, but the accessories do not come with the hide, the exception being windows. So rain cover, awning, door screens, and others are extra costs. I’m looking at the Tragopan Monal V2 which is larger, has a zippered in floor and rain cover included. The price is higher for the base unit, but about the same once you get all the accessories to bring the V6 up to the standard Monal V2. I do wish they had stayed with the darker camouflage.

      Thanks Mike and you're right. I also prefer the darker camouflage and the zipped in floor of the Monal does look great. What are you're thoughts on the Monal V2 generally. I really like the Tragopan products.

      Simon Wantling I wasn’t very clear on that... I don’t have it yet. I was just on the Net to order when I saw the reply.

      So the Monal V2 was $6 more than the V6 with accessories. I’m hoping it’s a good buy as the price is pretty steep for a blind. Hunting blinds just don’t have these features though.

    It would have been helpful to show your seated position inside. How well do the lens ports line up with a seated chair position? Thanks.

    Looks great good review how heavy is it?

    • @SimonWantling
      @SimonWantling  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Mark, thanks a lot. It's very light actually. Easily carry it some distance without a problem. It's really well built with some very unique features. You don't have to use the additional rain cover as it's water proof anyway but this adds protection if you're leaving it in place for some time. My only downside is for me with a big lens, tripod etc it's a little shallow so I would struggle but the add-on room is great with bags of room. Plenty of head room though.

      @@SimonWantling I have the Simon King hide which is great but a little bulky and folding away is always good fun, will probably do a video on it , best wishes Mark

      @@CamillaI Hi Mark, I also have the Simon King hide and it's a great hide. I think the Tragopan hide tops it in terms of its features but it is more expensive. They also do some other hide designs which are nice also. Look forward to seeing your review.
