I attended the ACS in my primary school years and lived in the Aston Settlement nearby. after School I would go to the ACS Secondary football fields next to the Princess theater for my favourite "ice bola" at the stall next to the club house at RM0.25. Every Saturday, there are always "Cheap matinee" at the Princess, Chong Sun, or Majestic or Rex theater at RM0.80. Chong Sun the the cheapest at RM0.25 on regular seat and RM0.50 for "Reserved seats" then it is ice kacang at my classmate's stall. Clay pot chicken rice was RM0.80 per pot at the shop a few doors away from the Chong Sun theater @5:15 @8:05 the road is call Jalan Gopeng . It may be called Jalan Ipoh Kampar now. If you move north along this road towards Ipoh, there is a very old heritage house by that belongs to the Eu Yan Sang family, founders of famous the Eu Yan Sang chain of Herbal Outlets
