It was their first performance with Brooks and it was sort of presenting their new album at the time "The Stage" plus their new collaboration with Capitol Records. In the video, set in an old horror movie style insane asylum, they’ve got The Rev’s disassembled drums with huge tarantulas climbing all over them, and The Rev is extremely arachnophobic.
Most of the Nightmare album was written before the death of the Rev... Yes some songs were reworked and lyrics modified... BTW M.Shadows has great clean vocals. And their ballads are perfect. Anyway, he wasn't in vocal form here. But otherwise yes, she has an amazing voice...
This was the first Avenged Sevenfold song I heard. The video is crazy. I fell in love with them the first time I saw the video! That was over 10 years ago. I've seen them live and they were amazing, it was probably about 5 years ago, they were co-headling with Korn💙
