I like the idea of picking just one thing. I think that’s the only way to establish muscle memory in a match. Thank you😊
Fewer errors* - Great video!
I was looking for this. My sister's an editor and never lets me get away with a misused "less".
Item 2 is possibly the most useful instruction I've ever received. Widely overlooked and not intuitive to many players.
I’ve been working on watching the ball through contact and prepping the racquet early. It’s been working great when playing with my senior doubles friends. Felt like I was on a new level. Then I played a younger player in his 30’s and I was back to hitting errors again. I’m guessing it is because he hits the ball back faster and I need to learn to prep even earlier. And I think I lost focus due to the pace and forgot to watch the ball as much as I do with my senior friends. What do you recommend for adjusting to faster paced balls?
Yes, if you are dealing with a faster ball it points to reaction speed / preparation being more the issue. Potentially if you played with that level of player more frequently, you could adjust to it. If you aren't able to adjust, then the way I would approach it is with vision training to speed up your reaction / processing speeds.
Amazing advice bro
Glad you think so!
