You will need to rappel down… there is a method to climb down with the Sladder but I would use that in an emergency only, such as if you left your rappel rope in the truck… video to come on this!

I've never used aiders or ladders before... how do you keep the rungs from laying flat on the tree so you can get your boots in? Something I'd like to see before ever purchasing. It obviously works via your first video!
Your first step for each move the ladder hangs free until you put your weight onto the bottom rung… place it as far back as you can under your foot and each time you take a step you pull it out a little with your foot when you place your foot on the rung to keep it as close to the center of the foot as you can.

You can pull the bottom rung away from the tree with your foot or your hand… once that is off the tree… you place your foot in the next rung while pulling it away from the tree. I’ll do a video on this soon.

So if you are using a hang on stand can you go down the tree using the sladder? Or is it just for people who rappel down?

How easy is it to do when you’re wearing gloves?
It all depends on the gloves. Super easy with thin gloves but can be difficult with thick gloves as you have to attach the daisy chain on the hook.

Let me guess this thing is 250 bucks . 500 for two to get you there .
Not sure of the price yet but you only need one. There are alot of costs associated with bringing a product to market. Patent, insurance, testing, prototype after prototype figuring out what works best including technique, materials, design, etc…
