I got pregnant in college. Every new friend I had made except for one tried their best to get me to have an abortion. The peer pressure was intense but it was never a thought in my head. That beautiful boy is married and has given me two grandchildren which daily bring me joy, the same way he did. I always wondered why all those women fought so hard for me to abort. I think now they were trying to rationalize what they would do, they were fighting an internal battle. Let’s remember to pray for people on both sides of this tragedy.

I have NEVER heard anyone include adoption with pro-choice. I've mentioned adoption before and the argument I always hear is "There's too many kids waiting to be adopted already!" I've seen pictures of people with signs saying "Dont abort, we'll adopt your baby" and pro-choice people made fun of them and called them creepy. They just want the child dead. Period. Because if that baby gets adopted that means they got a chance at life and their existence will plague the mother/people that didn't want them. Many years ago I was at the age of 16 given a choice...abortion or adoption...I prayed about it and chose to keep my child against all peoples opinions. It was a tough choice but the best ever. What do you think happens to the baby during an abortion? Do you think it gets reabsorbed into the mother? NO! It must be delivered no matter what. I had a life threatening medical emergency at 32 weeks gestation. The doctors performed this little known procedure where they surgically removed the fetus ALIVE. That fetus is now a healthy 26 years old woman and she is a delight to all that know her. Everyone needs to spread the word so that people know there are some doctors who know how to do this new amazing and very successful procedure called a "cesarean section".
The mortality rate of c sections are higher than vaginal births. I'm grateful your situation turned out good but that is not always the case. C sections are complicated and not a magic fix all.

I actually have a friend who had a late term abortion because her relationship with the father ended. She was 2 weeks from the baby being viable on its own. I didn’t call her names or yell at her in any way. I did try to give her any other option… and for that she didn’t speak to me for about 2 years. I was pro-choice before that. She and I are friends again and she has 3 daughters. Wether she regrets that decision or not doesn’t matter, Ive always loved my friend. And I generally love people and if I had my magical way, no one would ever even be faced with an unwanted pregnancy.

I am a birth mom. I asked God to have mercy on me and help me find my son. I did. He is in my life and I met his adoptive parents I love them so much. My son is a regular part of my life. I would do it again for him to have life. I went through a lot my parents locked me away I was not permitted to leave the house and if the doorbell rang I had to hide no one could know I was pregnant. I. Was a shame to them. But, I was not a shame to God and as it turned out my son was looking for me and and God works all things out for good for those who love him.

Regrettably, I had an abortion 10 years ago. I naively believed the "clump of cells" lie. Two days after the abortion, I started to pass baseball size blood clots. They did not ease up, so I ended up in the ER. The doctors had to perform an emergency D&C due to an infection from the botched "safe" abortion. I would have bled to death had I not went to the ER. It's taken me years to forgive myself for what I did to my unborn child. 😢

Babies are conscious pre birth. I talked to both my sons while my wife was pregnant. I have a video of when my second son was born. When I first held him and he was crying I said "its ok Daddy is here" and he stopped crying as soon as he heard my voice.
I was a substitute teacher near Christmas time. I was seven months pregnant. The kids screamed in music class, "Hohoho!" and the baby jumped like crazy. I informed them that they had scared the baby.

I knew a girl that basically used abortion as birth control. I lost count of how many she had. She'd go in the morning and be out partying that night. I have never been able to understand how she's not eaten up with guilt and heartache. She's older now. She did at least give one up for adoption and she kept one. Many women brought up in the years after Roe v Wade were led to believe that it was no big deal to take this step; that it was "just a clump of cells" and that it was more shameful to have gotten pregnant out of wedlock than to eliminate the result of it. Only years later (usually after going through pregnancy, experiencing the reality of growing a living child in their bodies and giving birth to their children) did many of these women fully comprehend and live to regret this terrible decision that they made in a time of crisis. These days, with so many birth control options available to women, often at little or no cost, there is no justifiable excuse other than ignorance or carelessness for having so many (or any) abortions in this country. About 35 years ago when I was young, I worked with a middle aged woman who had had an abortion years before. She was single and never maried. She was haunted by her choice and would, over the years that followed, always come back to thinking about how old that child would be now. Was it a boy or a girl? What would he or she look like? Would they have had her hair color? Now they would have been an adult (at that moment we were conversing). Would they be married by now? Would I be a grandmother? She was never the same after an abortion. I also knew someone from scouting who had gotten pregnant at 16. Her parents told her to abort. She refused. They kicked her out of the house! As difficult as It was, she managed on her own for a few years and met a great guy who had adopted her son. They went on to have 2 girls. When their kids were in grade school, her son was an adult. He was an enormous help and his sister's baby sitter when the parents were working. She said she couldn't imagine her life without her son and didn't know how she would have coped working nights and her husband working days without her son to take care of his sisters.

I have NEVER heard anyone include adoption with pro-choice. I've mentioned adoption before and the argument I always hear is "There's too many kids waiting to be adopted already!" I've seen pictures of people with signs saying "Dont abort, we'll adopt your baby" and pro-choice people made fun of them and called them creepy. They just want the child dead. Period. Because if that baby gets adopted that means they got a chance at life and their existence will plague the mother/people that didn't want them.

That is incorrect. There is no medical reason to end the life of a pre born child prior to removing it from the mother’s womb. The child has to be delivered regardless. Why must it be killed first? In the event of a tragic situation where the mother’s life is truly at risk the child can be delivered and given palliative and hospice care of it is unable to survive (younger than 21 weeks).
What do you think happens to the baby during an abortion? Do you think it gets reabsorbed into the mother? NO! It must be delivered no matter what. Why must it be dosed with digoxin to stop its heart or burned with saline or dismembered? Why can’t it be given at least an opportunity to live? Don’t preach choice. My baby at 8 weeks in the womb was moving around so much it was amazing and they are a human that has a right to live.

I had a life threatening medical emergency at 32 weeks gestation. The doctors performed this little known procedure where they surgically removed the fetus ALIVE. That fetus is now a healthy 26 years old woman and she is a delight to all that know her. Everyone needs to spread the word so that people know there are some doctors who know how to do this new amazing and very successful procedure called a "cesarean section".
The mortality rate of c sections are higher than vaginal births. I'm grateful your situation turned out good but that is not always the case. C sections are complicated and not a magic fix all.

I am a birth mom. I asked God to have mercy on me and help me find my son. I did. He is in my life and I met his adoptive parents I love them so much. My son is a regular part of my life. I would do it again for him to have life. I went through a lot my parents locked me away I was not permitted to leave the house and if the doorbell rang I had to hide no one could know I was pregnant. I. Was a shame to them. But, I was not a shame to God and as it turned out my son was looking for me and and God works all things out for good for those who love him.

Regrettably, I had an abortion 10 years ago. I naively believed the "clump of cells" lie.
Two days after the abortion, I started to pass baseball size blood clots. They did not ease up, so I ended up in the ER. The doctors had to perform an emergency D&C due to an infection from the botched "safe" abortion. I would have bled to death had I not went to the ER.
It's taken me years to forgive myself for what I did to my unborn child. 😢

I knew a girl that basically used abortion as birth control. I lost count of how many she had. She'd go in the morning and be out partying that night. I have never been able to understand how she's not eaten up with guilt and heartache. She's older now. She did at least give one up for adoption and she kept one. I just can't wrap my head around that.

Many women brought up in the years after Roe v Wade were led to believe that it was no big deal to take this step; that it was "just a clump of cells" and that it was more shameful to have gotten pregnant out of wedlock than to eliminate the result of it. Only years later (usually after going through pregnancy, experiencing the reality of growing a living child in their bodies and giving birth to their children) did many of these women fully comprehend and live to regret this terrible decision that they made in a time of crisis. These days, with so many birth control options available to women, often at little or no cost, there is no justifiable excuse other than ignorance or carelessness for having so many (or any) abortions in this country. Just keep this message going, Devin. You ARE doing the Lord's work and if you reach even one woman, it's been worth it! God bless you! ❤

You are absolutely right, I became pregnant with my oldest son when I was 16, my entire family was pushing for me to get an abortion because it was going to ruin my future...I did not get an abortion, I have raised my son to become an amazing young man! Sure I made some sacrifices and it was hard but Im glad that was the choice I made!
my older sister just had a baby at 33 1/2-34 weeks, she's home with her now after a few weeks in the hospital and she is her 5th child and she feels just as blessed with this one as she did her 1st child getting on the phone texting the family when her daughter had the first good nursing/feeding from her

About 35 years ago when I was young, I worked with a middle aged woman who had had an abortion years before. She was single and never maried. She was haunted by her choice and would, over the years that followed, always come back to thinking about how old that child would be now. Was it a boy or a girl? What would he or she look like? Would they have had her hair color? Now they would have been an adult (at that moment we were conversing). Would they be married by now? Would I be a grandmother? She was never the same after an abortion. I also knew someone from scouting who had gotten pregnant at 16. Her parents told her to abort. She refused. They kicked her out of the house! As difficult as It was, she managed on her own for a few years and met a great guy who had adopted her son. They went on to have 2 girls. When their kids were in grade school, her son was an adult. He was an enormous help and his sister's baby sitter when the parents were working. She said she couldn't imagine her life without her son and didn't know how she would have coped working nights and her husband working days without her son to take care of his sisters.
He was probably so happy to have siblings.

Absolutely! If the "clump of cells" has a heartbeat, it's a baby and has inherent worth in the eyes of God because it is a super tiny image bearer of God. It is an entirely separate human being inside of the mother, so it isn't actually only her body.
That's our Godless education system. It is written, and many will turn away. 😢 This young man is on the wrong path and doesn't see the light. All we can do is shine our light and pray for their salvation ❤
