It’s April 2021 and I’ve just bought my second copy as my original was played to its death.
This TV series was one of the best of all times!

Looking forward to a sequel.
this show inspired the future
Watching dark skies for the first time rn. Episode 4.
The reason i found this video, is bc im looking for an interview, its with this guy and assuming the other creator friedmann.
Its very different than this video, its not a questionaire or promotion, rather hes telling a VERY interesting true story.
i watched it like 6 months ago and it blew me away. I recommend trying to find it...
Jeff, there are clips from the documentaries produced for the DVD release here. You'd probably have to buy the DVD to see the entire doc (I make zero from the DVD, BTW) and it's very good. But, clips here: ruclips.net/p/PL5A1058EDE798E4B1
Rewatched this for the first time since the 90s and now see it in a different light: rather than aliens, I see the hive as something more akin to the sort of tricksters Jacque Vallee wrote about in Passport to Magonia or the entities Joshua Cutchin has recently written about, i.e. Thieves in the Night: A Brief History of Supernatural Child Abductions and The Brimstone Deceit. So it's fitting that Tobe Hooper, the co-director of one of Hollywood's greatest movies about the supernatural, Poltergeist, directed the pilot episode of Dark Skies.
Some nods to Gnosticism and the devilish archons thrown in for good measure, perhaps?
Also appreciated the fact that, in the final episode, you used the names of the sort of men you'd read about in C. Wright Mills The Power Elite who exert a firm and uncompromising grip over the narrative as it pertains to the so-called alien phenomena, e.g. Zbignew Brzezinski, Rockefeller, Kissinger, Bush, Poindexter, etc.
Edit - And wasn't there a nod to the concept of transhumanism slotted into the end of the story when one of the hive suggests that the ufos they use to fool us will be replaced by them (the hive) cropping up in our technology and software in the near future? Would fit with Vallee's hypothesis about the tricksters and their manipulation of our culture by appearing in guises that are at the vanguard of our technological and sociological stages of progress.
I just found out about the show in 2020 and it is a great show wish they would have done more obviously told a lot of Truth so they couldn't but very good very done well awesome show
