I have the dynamic light assist option and it's enabled, but when I set the lights to auto and push the stalk, nothing happens, the letter A light signal does not appear, and the lights are only working on the "position", no beams... and with auto, even when I turn off the car and lock it, the LED's remain on.
So if a B8 has traffic recognition/lane assist but has regular LED lights (not halogen, not matrix) you could retrofit matrix headlights and unlock DLA?
DLA works mechanical (rollers which are in front of the light), that's why it also works with Xenon headlights. Matrix works electrical (turning off individual LED segments)
Most of the times my DLA on passat b8 2017 react late to cars coming in front,and those who are in front of my car in the same lane the DLA doesn't stay like 1 meter to the side of them but more like 5 meters which I know that other cars don't do that. Is there any solution ore its LAME VW system? much apreciated if I get an answer

Yes you can. I got onto a clever young Asain guy off Facebook in Auckland. Updated Mirrorlink to app connect for $300, and following week I took car back and he activated auto high beam, $100. Not sure who helps but he plugs car into laptop, goes inside and online to someone, comes back out and loads changes. Takes a while reloading but the 2 jobs have worked perfectly. So yes I can be done…but by a kid a lot smarter than me

My car is from 2017 Highline version but i dont have that option in the light opcions.

When self leveling fails, the headlights go to the lowest position ;).

Camera calibration and if something was done with a camera, uploading the appropriate data set. Headlight alignment also could be potential issue
