Can anyone recall when a movie has been made by the people about the people for the people paid for by the people and have to struggle to have it shown. I can't wait and all NZ should be proud. ...and not one cent from the Govt
Thank you Sean for this interview. So many lies our media told about the people at the protest. Im a nurse who was there because i suffered a horrific jab injury. On top of that, I was mandated out of my career. People need the truth.
Yep-looking forward to this, attended the protest, will never forget slime ball Wood's awful comment regarding ordinary kiwis expressing their deep dislike of the mandates and distrust of the government's management of covid.
I was there, following my sacking from my nursing career...Thanks, Jacinda Swabb....I volunteered in the medical tent and slept in my Rav 4 down on the bus depot. And got gassed out of Wellington March 2nd. I'' ll see this film wherever I can. Thankyou Eric Clapton and Right Said Fred.and all the people who have created the film.
Impeccable timing. I imagine the Government will have a headache hearing about this esp pending an election. Jogging memories like Phoenix rising from the ashes !
The Human Rights commission should be taking a look at all the politicians that have made themselves scarce. Rosa Parks had enough of sitting at the back of the bus. More recently, some Kiwi's weren’t allowed on the bus at all. And they were ridiculed. Even worse, most of the ‘conspiricy theories’ are looking likely if not proven correct. And the Disinformation Project + recent legislation contiunes to be working hard in the wrong direction. Good on ya Jared Connon. Shout out to Eric Clappers, and all involved, including The Platform
I am house bound but watched all along with the protest as a jab free older woman. The trailer made me cry. I would probably do so all through it. Those people were amazing! So sad We had this witch Ardern as PM, and sadly too Winston got her in with his betrayal.
Wishing you and your movie River of Freedom, much success. We had a great movie here in Battleground Melbourne, (Topher Fields answer to similar crap enfored in Australia). We've to stand against all these UN WHO following governments
Im loveing the comments on here. NZ has come a long way since we felt so isolated and abused that when a push back finally happened all i could do is pack up and stand for the people who couldnt. I had no idea what it would turn too. Never been in protest my whole life before the first anti mandate protests. But for the first time we saw NZ. Driveing down seeing all those people supporting us on every over pass. Every town. All the way down the country. I still have footage of every one from the north shore of Auckland all the way down to wellington. Its hard to describe the feeling. NZ still lives. You can try margenilize it. Cancel it. Manipulate it. Coerce it but for every force there is an opposeing force! Glad to have had a chance to meet so many other brave compassionate New Zealanders on this journey. The very heart of this country came together. Till the day i die i know we did the right thing. No one was listening. There was no opposition. It had to come from us. And though we where still ignored and intentionally missrepresented by the media at the time it still made a differnce. It showed them that there still is an element that still believes in the concepts of democracy and our bill of rights. That they should matter and for very good reasons. Kia kaha NZ and thank you jarred for bringing true NZ history to the cinema! Despite all the resistance. NZ deserves to know the truth!
Went to see the movie in a small country town. Sat through the whole movie without a word from the packed theatre, without a word right through the credits. It was very moving and I think every person in NZ should watch "Rivers of Freedom" Probably the most moving movie I have ever seen. Well done to all of those who contributed.
The irony of Sean talking about cancel culture. Reminds me of his cancelling of Steve Kirsch, recent discussion with Winston Peters about Kirsten Moffat and multiple other instances of Sean preventing open presentation of viewpoints.
A year ago Sean would be calling someone like this an "antivaxxer nutter" now he's being all friendly with him. Funny how as time goes on, one side realises how diabolical their own behaviour was.
Thanks, will be good to have both official and unofficial accounts of the Wellington Parliament protest. I live in Dunedin so I am open to streaming it.
SEAN PLUNKET RESPONDS TO THE COUNTERSPIN CHALLENGE Proving once again, Sean may have taken leave of his senses, he made a slanderous remark to which we shall allow him an opportunity to withdraw and apologise. If he can not provide evidence of his assertion that Counterspin or its hosts are racist, we shall take a lawsuit against him. Your move, Sean Plunket and The Platform.
Looking forward to the premiere in Auckland! I was on one of the bridges in Akl cheering on the convoy! it moved me to tears to see kiwis uniting against one of the most tyrannical times in NZ history! I then spent 4 days in Wellington with some of the most beautiful people that can only be explained as the heart of this nation. Sean you have not been kind to people in the Freedom movement, perhaps you will learn from the movie what strength and heart really looks like! Thank you Jared for documenting the stories of real people during these times.🙏
@@gregsmith2164 I don't see how one would wish for a worse situation than apartheid, but it really is much worse. It's more than just mandates. Our countries are run by pure evil, and it goes well above the 'power' of politicians.

great movie, pity there was not a lot of evidence based research about covid and the VAX primarily included to help with the real punch line, there is room for more docos on this whole rigmarole of lies and deciet. also the mandates affected all kiwis not just one ethnicity.
Good work Jared, it still bemuses me that we pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for democratic politicians to run our country yet they couldn’t handle a minority as the previous PM still refers to those who opposed mandatory mandates and maybe unfortunately Winston the only one who could handle talking to tax paying protestors.
