To be clear, just because you're "slow" at 3x3 doesn't make you a "non-cuber;" you can call yourself a cuber no matter how long it takes you to solve one. The term was just the easiest way to describe my friends who know how to solve a 3x3, yet aren't actively into cubing.

Hey! I’m looking to try and learn to solve a Rubik cube, but I don’t have one. Can you suggest a smooth, easy to turn cube that I can use? I’m looking for an easy 3 x 3. Can you help me?

I hope I can do it as fast as you one day.
I got one for christmas this year and it took me about two days (until the 27th.) to figure out how to solve it (via some RUclips tutorial). I am just very slow, almost slower than your sister, and for the third to last move (I call it the "fish" move, where you make the yellow site completely yellow), I still sometimes need my notes, cause I am messing it up without them.
Edit: I do not need notes anymore and my best time is 1:45
