That's a very astute solution to the problem of supraeruption-- simple and elegant. How would you advise your patients to clean under that "occlusal rest" area?
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai what about the individual tooth movent Dr ? RMGIC has a relatively weak bond. The individual free movements of both the teeth is definitely breaking that bond. That's my take on it. How about a splint connecting the buccal surfaces of both teeth to negate supra eruption ? Looking forward to your reply. Looking forward to your response.
Sir Can possible the fixed teeth remove without broken after 5 day from fixing because my freenum irritate so i want to it insert I to the bridge. Any solution give me remove the bridge without broken
Dr i have few questions here: 1. Instead of doing this, why don't we rehabilitate the lower arch ? Or 2. why not extract and advice an implant ? 3. Is there any scientific basis/research behind this tip ? 4. How does the patient clean this area ? 5. When you give an occlusal block, how well is the periodontium going to handle this ? These are my concerns. I appreciate your out of the box thinking 👍🏼
1. The mission here was to be minimally invasive. The patient is is a 76 year old lady. Hope this serves her well. 3. No scientific base... Just a clinical decision 4. Rest seat is cemented with RMGIC. So regular oral hygiene should suffice IMHO
I hope it doesn't lead to food lodgement
Only time will answer that question... However the area is self cleansing so.... Fingers crossed
Can the patient floss in this area
Great but what about flossing the contact area afterwards ?? Is it even possible ? I hope you answer my question , thank you
Ge dr.. won't it still allow tipping movement of upper seven
Don't think so as tipping is typically mesial and that is catered to by the contact with first molar...
Great tip. Thanks a lot Moez
Pleasure ☺️
Great idea, innovation and & you👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I ask you please to make a film showing the consequence of the supraeruption specificly in this case, thank you
Great explanation as always..Doc. I enjoy your every clinical tips. Will be there be any chance of food lodgement in and around the rest seat area?
Don't think so... It's quite self cleaning... But I guess we shall find out as the patient uses it in time...
Thank you. 👍
It will prevent supra eruption but lateral food will still lodge, you cannot floss . Pls correct me if am wrong
Agree... Flossing is not an option

So I have cemented that seat with RMGIC that would help prevent demineralization in the area.
Great question and answer

Looking forward to your response.
Won't it prevent flossing and cause food entrapment?
Could... But only time will tell... Patient has been advised use of a waterflosser
Dear Dr. , Why super eruption of the upper 7 cause TMD??
Supraeruption results in interferences and resticted mandibular movement... Increasing possibility of developing TMDs
