Period cramps are different for each woman I had friends who rarely feel anything at all, some has mild symptoms some had it hard some had it extremely hard to the point they throw up like ur ex.. My first period was really really bad that I threw up but it's not like that anymore it's still really hurt but no throw up. This idea is silly but I respect for the fact that you wanna sympathize with women who are trying their best while being in their worst time of the month.

Your ex gf probably had endometriosis or adenomyosis... if anyone experiences too much pain or the pain last longer than the period itself you should get it checked at the gynecologist.. I got my adenomyosis diagnosis this week and I wouldn't have expected this at all because I didn't throw up or got unconscious because of the pain

I have passed out and hallucinated from the pain before on multiple occasions and my periods would last between 2 weeks and 1 month. I also came close to needing blood transfusions due to the blood loss and have become malnourished since I throw up everything during my period

I think it has the potential to become very painful but it's manageable at the moment, but I will have to take medication that will suppress my ovulation so it won't spread anymore.. But since both illnesses are a bit unknown I just thought to leave this comment, since it's kinda fitting for the context ^^'
