So the "Dutch Therapist Technique" is basically to deny and suppress your true feelings and put on a happy face...? I'm not sure why Bree thought that was such a silly idea, wasn't that pretty much her strategy for life in general? lol She was very emotionally repressed particularly in the earlier series of the show.
I think she figured out that one doesn't work after her marriage fell apart and she felt into the arms of an obsessive psycho who ended up killing her husband.

And that he'd then present a box of sand, to 'cover the issues' written on a page, with. And they'd then fight and throw around the sand in the box.
Hilarious scene. Either way I think there's a little plot hole in all of this. (Spoiler alert) When the grandparents find out Andrew is gay, they refuse to take him with them and he loses access to the trust fund, although that doesn't make sense as that was Rex's not theirs. So I don't get how the two things are connected.
