Good luck Ed..You have such great plants...I'd say the most desirable plants are in your collection and they all look so healthy..Again with the mention of R/O i begin to think about it..can't wait for updates on this and others THanks for sharing!
@@EdsOrchids Many thanks for that Ed, The repotting mixture must be good plus the care you render to it. I’m really looking forward to see yours in flower.
Thanks Brody but I think it will be a year or two before that happens. Ed

dear Ed. Now that's a mystery, I would have guessed that with 3 plants each would perform differently. Odd, and a real shame as the flowers of these are one of a kind and so beautiful!
I should just have watch all your vids before asking sooo many questions ... Thanks for the informational vid. I learn so much from each video ty. Kind regards rose
Thanks Ed, I have 2 Phat Betheva ( pearcii x Grande) fro Piping Rock Orchids, ( phrags specialist) I put I in " peru" and your reg.bark. have a good Easter.
I've grown phrags from seedling size but I have never bothered with flasks. The phrags I have now have been with me for many years apart from a cardinale which I bought from one of our auctions. I think phrags are too expensive to buy adult sizes. Take care, Ed
I am looking for one of these I found a seller/grower in Peru I might buy from. They are so amazing! The King or Queen of all lady slippers. great info Would love to see it in bloom.
Hi Sarah. Yes they are a very amazing flower ........if you get one just give it more calcium than your other slippers.....but you know all that being a good slipper grower yourself. Thanks for the comment. Take care, Ed.
My apologise Victor I have just come across your comment …..hope you sorted the air movement out... and I once again offer you my sincere apologise. Ed.
Good evening Next Growth. I think they are far overpriced . I will do an update and see if there is any positive or negative results on the repotting. Thank you for watching and have a nice week-end ( when it comes!!! ) Ed.
just watched this video again. We picked up on loads information we missed the first time we watched it. That being the case we will be watching all other videos again Ed. (The cats back ! order has been restored to the orchid house )
Not yet Judy it will take quite a while for the phrag to settle in to its new surroundings. I'll keep an eye on it and update if there any positive--or negative--changes. Thanks for asking and have a nice day. Ed
Don't know how I missed your post regarding kovachii ScottEWallin so I do apologise for my neglect. I saw some seedlings of these a few weeks ago and they were asking a phenominal for them. I am going to do an update on these shortly. Please accept my sincere apologise. Ed.
Hi Roger. Thanks for your kind remarks. The stone I used in this video is 6mm - 10mm limestone chippings. Not expecting it to alter the compost pH for quite a few months. Ed

I intend to do just that but it will be a while before I can claim any success -----probably!!
Thanks for looking at the video.

Wow what a nice mixture! Surely will do better because of air movement that you said! Thanks for sharing,
Fingers crossed that all goes well. Thanks for looking MaryG.
Ed
im gonna try your mix I need to repot a paph thank u for sharing...
Hi Irma. The mix was for Phragmipediums. For your Paphiopedilum I would just use a 9mm-12mm sized bark with a decent helping of perlite.
ok thnk u ed...
My pleasure Irma.

Hi Ed, thanks for sharing this repotting of your kovachii, Is this the one that is blooming now?
Yes John it is the very same one.....but they can take many months to develop into showing you the blooms.....and then they don't last that long

Hello Ed, thank you for the video! Have you tried growing phragmapediums from flask? Or you find better to grow and buy an adult plant?
I've grown phrags from seedling size but I have never bothered with flasks. The phrags I have now have been with me for many years apart from a cardinale which I bought from one of our auctions. I think phrags are too expensive to buy adult sizes.

You have such great plants, I am surprised this one is not doing so well. I am sure you will figure it out. Good luck!
Thank you Elaine. I think we all get amazed ,at some point, with the way our orchids behave.

Those temperatures sound difficult to achieve!
Not in this part of the world where the temp last night was 2c. With the heater on the day temp is around 22c.
Thanks for looking.
