The Vikings of Northern Europe drove the Slavic Slave Trade. The 8th and 9th century were the worst. Those forced into slavery mainly came from the class of artisans and those of prime military age.

Vikings only slaved criminals as part of viking Christmas Yule tradition where the peaceful would be rewarded while the worst criminals or war criminals were slaved, I don't really believe the Vikings slaved the entire Slavic empire also I thought Vikings were allied to the Slavic that many Vikings mixed with. It is possible that some vikings not all could have been allied to the Nazi's own few Saxons of Saxony that launched the Saxon wars against the Slavic and Dutch and later the French Jewish king Charles the great who joined the defense of the Dutch and Slavic, it is possible that the few Vikings allied to the Nazi's own Saxons did slave the Slavic empire that the Nazi's own Saxons attacked.
