For years ive constantly tried really hard every single game giving it my all, i dont forfeit, and i watch a lot of youtube videos. Ive now finally reached Champion. I played 10 000 matches and i have almost 2000 hours in the game. After seeing this video im now depressed at your time and matches played to get to Champ is wayyy below how much ive spent. So it honestly hurts a lot more then i feel satisfied.
On the topic of forfeiting: I've initiated 1 forfeit in my entire RL life, and very rarely do I accept a forfeit. If it's just 2 seconds remaining there's no point in forfeiting, and if there's enough time left for the forfeit to save ACTUALLY playtime then you have enough time to score instead. I think the "momentum" you mention is cruicial, so the abslute best way to stage a comback is to play to your teams weaknesses and strenghts and FAKE momentum. Make your team FEEL like they are doing something good, and they might come back from a 5 goal deficit. Most of the time the goals you conceded was not ACTUALLY due to any big skill difference, but rather a poor understanding of how defense and offense affect each other. Bite the bullet and be the villain that brings your teammates up and you get a few free combacks. Never forfeiting has nettet me at least a 1/3 winrate on the games I refuse to forfeit, which helps rank up a lot.
I am constisant at plat 2 and have 35 hours ( have around 20-30 hours back in 2017 on xbox but i have gotten back into it). I am horrible at aerials but i have good positioning and alright at everything else
Im a free to play player, and im at about 320 hours with around 2000 games played or something like that haha. but I just hit gc two nights ago. But what's terrifying is that I know just how much more work I have to put in. Because my mechanics are eh for my ranks, but my game sense has gotten me this far and slowing the game down. Game sense is great but if I can't keep up, imma drop just as easily as I got here.

da fuq i started in s2 f2p have abt 500 hours and im gc1 in 2s. i think my key was that ive been a 1s main for 90% of my time because 1s=improvement (im mid c2/c3 in 1s)
Bro no way a gold has 150 hours in game I’m gold 2 and I have 30 hours. Maybe it’s because I don’t solo q a lot and party up with people who are on the same skill level as me.
150 hours of gameplay should be the equivalent to 1800 games, not 670. the only way that you could be correct is if the players average game length is less than 5 minutes, it would actually have to be less than 2 1/2 minutes! 150 hours of in game time x 60 = 9000 minutes of in game time assuming a match is on average, 5 minutes: 9000 in game minutes ÷ 5 = 1800 games I don't know if players gave you their time played and games played? It seems like your study group either have given you inaccurate statistics (by mistake, to seem more socially desirable or to troll) or you did your maths wrong. It's possible that when giving you their time played, some participants could've given time played overall, including outside games, or they could've given you their time played only in games. I don't get the impression that this was conducted very professionally, which is perfectly fine. I don't think that's what anyone expected. it's just that I am genuinely interested in the subject, so I would appreciate if you or anyone could provide any insight or perhaps details on how you conducted your analysis. thank you! edit: I'm watching the rest of the video and it seems like non of the statistics provided match my equation. I am really confused, so I would appreciate if anyone could let me know where my mistake is if I'm wrong.

I have 198 hours played and I’m gold 1. Every game my teammates own goal because they bump me and think they can save, go afk, and forfeit because they missed a shot. So I’m actually pretty upset that I’m falling behind
Just on the comment that if our a bronze and have 100+ hours maybe rocket league isn't game for you. I completely disagree. As long as they're enjoying game they should continue playing. Thats why they have a rank, so that they can play against players of similar skill level. The ones I think should uninstall RL or at least take a break are the people who AFK or are super upset since they clearly aren't enjoying the game at that time and are actively ruining it for others. Funny enough those same toxic players are the first ones to say others that they should uninstall because they aren't "good enough". And to those players if you keep losing most matches then maybe the reason isn't your "terrible" teammate.
I'm champ I and have 342,5 hours according to epic games. I haven't spent more than 5 hours in training/freeplay. There is no way the average champ has 1,2k hours
Yeah im diamond with 200 hours I think I'm the worst diamond at mechanics my rotations and just not taking bad challenges got me here. Now I'm hard stuck trying to learn some mechanics that I can never implement in an actual game at least so far so I feel like I hit a brick wall. And by no mechanics I don't half flip at all, no wave dash, no air dribbles, hell I can hardly dribble on the ground.
How does it work? I've reached c1 on 800 hours... now I have 2800 hours 12+k games, and I'm still c1... Other guys here - I have 11 hours, 55 games and I'm SSL...

No bro you’re doing good. I don’t wanna sound like I’m hating but Calvin is wrong with the hours and number of games because people probably lie when they’re doing the survey. I’m diamond also with about 1000 hours in the game ( I play on PS4 so I don’t know the exact hours but I train as much as I play so it gives me a good idea.) And on RL tracker, most diamond who play on only 1 account have around 3000 wins. I never watch videos about how many hours to reach ranks cause it’s never accurate and then you have people in the comments: I reached champ with only 400 hours, cause I’ve been playing video games all my life so I learn fast blah blah blah! I guess some people need to lie to make themselves feel better.
@@theone3337 When people say they hit champ with 400 hours, they most likely mean in-game hours, but 400 hours to hit champ is really not unrealistic. Its just important to remember they have spend a lot of hours in training too, which is not included, except for those who can see their game-time on steam. So just because people improve fast, does not mean they are lying. I can tell with 100% confidence I just hit gc, and I had 390 hours in-game, and I think I have spend the same amount in training
Is this actually relatively accurate for you guys ? I found it a bit confusing when he said it takes an average of 75 hrs to get to silver but it took me that long to get to diamond. Am I just typing random shit and seeming like someone who just wants to brag or do you agree?

I played 10 000 matches and i have almost 2000 hours in the game. After seeing this video im now depressed at your time and matches played to get to Champ is wayyy below how much ive spent. So it honestly hurts a lot more then i feel satisfied.
Same bro I have 1100 hours and I’m still only diamond 😐
I feel better now because I'm diamond and I have done 1200 matches
On the topic of forfeiting:
I've initiated 1 forfeit in my entire RL life, and very rarely do I accept a forfeit.
Never forfeiting has nettet me at least a 1/3 winrate on the games I refuse to forfeit, which helps rank up a lot.
also most of ssls forfeits come with training right after or even log offs, since most of them are tilt based or just feeling awkward
i have 4 hours on the game and i am gold 2 and my averge goal per game is 4
Im plat 1 and Has 130 hrs played and can constinantly say what a save after my teammate misses
This dudes videos are just as good if not better than musty or other popular rl youtubers. How does he only have 16k subscribers. Makes no sense
I started playing Rocket League just a month ago and I hit plat 3 in doubles with 31 hours in total. When I get on I solo-queue doubles
Me too
Correct I’m G2 division 3 with 176 but close
i have 300 hours and im diamond but ive been stuck for 100 hours
when ur talking about how many hours put into the game are you talking about hours in actual matches or is it including freeplay and training packs
It’s including everything in game. Jon Sandman has more hours than the average ssl
damn im c3 with 225 hours lmao. I tought that i was in the average time played. Im shocked.
i have 200 hours and i am gc 2
NO WAY.... I am at almost 3000 hours and still struggling at Champ lol
I have over 3k hours and I’ve barely got gc 2, ngl I think it takes much more than 3k to get ssl
@@fnnote9216 Yeah, the ssl's were def lying. I think it's more like 4k-5k for ssl (Im pretty sure I saw 5k average for ssl on another vid)
what i have just over 155 hours (little bit over the average gold player) and i am almost champ :D
also you deserve more subs
The quicker you realize you're wrong and acknowledge your mistakes and work on them the quicker you'll rank up
No you're wrong
@@BawlBag okay and what rank are you my friend ??
I’m a Diamond 3 and I have 130 hours in the game is that good
I am constisant at plat 2 and have 35 hours ( have around 20-30 hours back in 2017 on xbox but i have gotten back into it).
Dog there’s no way ur 300 hour gc unless u got carried there. If you’re being honest then that is insanely impressive!
Sheesh good shit
I’ve got 1 day 15hrs played, 400 total matches and am currently platinum 1 in doubles… I think that’s alright especially after watching this video.. I still think I more so belong in mid gold but we’ll see..
At this rate I will be ssl in 2032...yay, I guess
Bruh no shot I got to champ with less than 100 hours.
I'm Diamond 2 but I have 340 hours played (for pc) and over 1500 games played overall (between console and pc)
according to epic games (im not sure if it counts freeplay and whatever, probably not) im 81 hours 43 mins with plat2 in 3s, plat3 in 2s, and gold 3 in 1s lol. 1s r my worst enemy, i always put crosses for my non existent teammate
a im in plat 3 and i have 2235 games and 172 hours
I have around 80 hours and I'll soon reach diamond lol
da fuq i started in s2 f2p have abt 500 hours and im gc1 in 2s. i think my key was that ive been a 1s main for 90% of my time because 1s=improvement (im mid c2/c3 in 1s)
I have 333 Hours and i am close to Champ 1 😀
Bro no way a gold has 150 hours in game I’m gold 2 and I have 30 hours. Maybe it’s because I don’t solo q a lot and party up with people who are on the same skill level as me.
I started diamond with 600 hours now I am at 1300 hours and still diamond 1 div 2... I suck don't I? :( btw I have 4k matches played
I though this guy had around at least 100,000 subs when I watched this. I’m surprised you don’t have more subs, great video
I’m d3 and I have 900 matches and 90 hours lol
It took me 200 hours to get to diamond 1, but I lost it and I’m now plat 3.
I'm a ps4 player and I have 4000 matches played with 300 hours and I'm diamond
I plat 1 but i have only like 48 hours
150 hours of gameplay should be the equivalent to 1800 games, not 670. the only way that you could be correct is if the players average game length is less than 5 minutes, it would actually have to be less than 2 1/2 minutes!
150 hours of in game time x 60 = 9000 minutes of in game time
assuming a match is on average, 5 minutes:
9000 in game minutes ÷ 5 = 1800 games
I don't know if players gave you their time played and games played?
Wait so does it take u 3k+ hours to reach SSL? If so ummmm I HAVE 17K+ HOURS AND IM STILL DIAMOND
Because 2 years is 17k hours and I'm 10 I started when I was 8 so I been playing for 17k hours
I have 147 hours and have been feeling really bad about still being Gold, but this video really helped with that.
No wonder I can beat a diamond as a gold I have 839 hours in rocket league I’m 339 more ours than the average diamond 😅
I have 11593 matches played, just under 1000hrs. C1. Do you all spend half your time playing in freeplay?? Would I be better if I practiced? Hahah
Wtfff i am a D2-D3 i have 72 hours IN game and probably nearly 100 in training wtf is that
I'm champ I and have 342,5 hours according to epic games.
Other guys here - I have 11 hours, 55 games and I'm SSL...
im plat 2 almost 3 and I have 170 hours and ~1000 matches played 😢 I cant wait to make it to diamond
253hours. - GC1
dude i have 79 hours and i'm diamond B)
I have 800 hours 4000 matches played stuck in p3
i have around 3k hours (i think i dont know exactly) and im gc2 so i think im about on track. You dont have a lot of hours tho, the games been out for 7 years now so 2,500 hours is not a lot at all. You made the exact same video as wayton except not as accurate so if you guys want better stats ill put in a link and you can check out the video with correct stats. ruclips.net/video/_r-aUS6-s94/видео.html
Ha almost so accurate on game played I finally hit champ 1 after hitting 4,763 games played
Champ: 1200 hours or 4500 matches
Meanwhile....2500 hours and 12k matches played
ive doing so much research and im honestly confused. i have about 250 hours in the game and i just hit champ, im on console and dont take the game super seriously, idk how im higher rank than all my friends with no putting as much hours as them but still 2-5 ranks above them
I've played 150 hours = 1964 matches AND
I reached diamond2 for some reason
Man and i thought i was improving fast… i have 1200 hours (most spent in training) and i a diamond 2
I’m diamond 1-2 with like 500 in game hours and 400 more hours freeplay and training soo it’s not far from me
@@theone3337 When people say they hit champ with 400 hours, they most likely mean in-game hours, but 400 hours to hit champ is really not unrealistic.
I have 200 hours in champ
@@jaserkhelfa2 man u could be gc but its all good maybe suddenly u will see ur self in gc dw
Is this actually relatively accurate for you guys ? I found it a bit confusing when he said it takes an average of 75 hrs to get to silver but it took me that long to get to diamond. Am I just typing random shit and seeming like someone who just wants to brag or do you agree?
Kinda crazy bc I have 173 hrs with 2239 games played and I’m a c1 d2 and everyone tells me I have mechanics to be a high c2 possibly low c3 I started when the game was free to play
5:12 why I disabled voice chat
If diamond is 3k machetes than I don’t know how I’m almost champ with a little over 300 machete played and probably like 450 hours maybe
so right now i’m champ 1 in 2s, diamond 2 in 3s and diamond 1 in 1s. i only have 230 hours on the game. does that mean i’m gonna be in champ for the rest of my life if champs average over 1k hours on the game
