That's mean bro.what pound main line were you using? I can't see if it's braid or mono,we're you running a 80 pound shock leader or trace aswell for the rocks?
@@OceanNationCo mean bro. I'm only learning hey.ive mastered catching kingfish on sliders with live bait .my best is 104cms with only 20 pound main line on the beach at raglan Harbour.and a 2 meter bronzy at waihi with only 25pound line ,over 1 hour fight.ive probly spent over 600 hours this summer.learning how to get better with fishing. But my biggest snapper is about 45cms. With the snapper side of things bro.if your not using a bait feeder reel.is it best to just lift your bail arm right up?,as even if the drag is loose as,on a normal fishing reel will the snapper feel the resistance on the line and not take it?I'm new to rock fishing bro. My rock set up is.a tica, hoodlum star, heavy duty 9ft 7 stick bait rod.with a coronardo 80 bait feeder reel.but it's broken atm.so will have to use my other reel instead my other one has a 25kg drag setup and it came with the stick bait rod.its for stick baiting, sorry for all the questions bro.but I've been following your Chanel for a few months.
Thanks mate. It all fishes pretty well mate. Just try find somewhere with a bit of dirty water and swell for the snapper or a deep ledge for the kingies. What area are you thinking of hitting?
@@barryjackson562 I don't think that spot at Opito will fish well unless it's swelly and dirty like it was. A few people have messaged me and said it's usually dead there. Look up matapaua bay, that's were I was fishing in that video you just watched

That’s a solid effort. I haven’t given sliders much of a go but I need to. They are super effective ay.
That was loose asf bro EPIC!

@@OceanNationCo yeah man, thinking of Port Charles area.
@@barryjackson562 I haven't fished up there but herd good things. Need to get up there myself.
Will be hitting a few different spots. Maybe opito Bay where one of your last videos were. Be a nice change of scenery 👌🏽

I do keep a few but it’s a steep walk out of that spot haha
Opp it's a big sucker I was better off staying home and catching some zzz cool better luck next time 👍
Cheers mate
Sick! So you just fish saturated bro? 😂
Haha yea bro if I go through at high tide like I did there. Our fishing shirts are quick dry though so I don't stay wet for long in the sun.
Mean as bro. You don't eat your catches? Fair enough, you'd never get back across that rocky shallow lugging that thing with you 😅
Oh I do bro but I pick and choose. Usually. Put the bigger fish back
@@OceanNationCo good man. Keep it up cuz. Bloody awesome vids
Thanks bro. Heaps more coming 🤙🏽
