You’ll be fine KB. This is my second year making the entire thanksgiving dinner. I’m 23f and my mom passed away August 2020. Everything else is fine but my Turkey came out partially raw this year. It’s a learning experience. I’m sure it takes time to perfect a Turkey. I’m def getting a small one for xmas to practice again.

Chef here, yeah that's a easy fix. If something's undercooked you place it back in there for a little more time but everybody around Thanksgiving wants to get dinner out and get everybody fed. So I can understand trying to get it done quick. But with poultry we got a bring it up to 160 degrees and so it's better to slow roast a turkey. Lower temperature for longer cook period time. This will also help to retain some of the juices as long as you cover the turkey when you pull it out of the oven. There's just different things that you can do there but yes it's a learning experience. Even for people in the beginning stages of wanting to become a chef. Thankfully I've been cooking since I was 11. I'm in my thirties now. And cooking is literally an art form. There's proper ways to do things and then there's improper ways of doing it you're good, and you will get it down to a science. Check out some of Gordon Ramsay's Thanksgiving videos. He has some excellent recipes and shows you how to cook everything properly and from scratch. Much love to you and everybody out there and I hope this coming Thanksgiving 2022 is the best ever for everybody.
