MTA Maryland: Bus Observations (October 2016) - Part 1/1 [

NEW VIDEO!!! YAY!!! 😄!!!
It's been a long time since the last MTA bus observations video - three months to be exact - so, it was in my best interest to do one and hopefully get back into a rhythm with uploads. Taken within the latter part of the morning as an immense fog looms the city of Baltimore. To top it off, quite possibly the LOUDEST bus in the entire fleet (Neoplan #0278) and a lone 16000-series XD40 sporting the Local/ExpressLink livery, soon to be standard by 2017. Both out of Bush Street division.
Now, as far as Neoplan #0278, it appears it could be seeing a new engine (Cummins ISL9) to replace that insane Detroit Series 50 as part of MTA's midlife overhaul process for the Neoplans. Unfortunately, this could be the sad truth... 😭

I love the new liveries - mainly the Local/ExpressLINK wrap - compared to the wave. I never did find the wave scheme appealing except when the DE60LFs had a darker, more reflective turquoise with the black zigzag.

MJofLakeland1 Nice! So one last question, in 2017 will they all have this new scheme, or just the ones currently with no paint, which used to have the waves lol.

David Dennis All buses except the D40LFs and Neoplans will have either two of the new liveries. The rehabbed Neoplans are sporting a newer, more curvier state flag and numerous decals. While on-the-other-hand, the D40LFs will presumably be in the process of retiring and won't see any updates, as far as I know of. The 06000s could be rolling full-wrap advertisements like they have been for years now.

MJofLakeland1 Awesome, thanks so much for your knowledge! So I guess no retirement plans for half of the Neoplane yet, since they've been repowered and now repainted again lol.

MJofLakeland1 that doesn't make sense they neoplans are older and what about the nabis they have 8 at northwest 32 at eastern 5 at kirk ave and 7 at bush st
