This problem is derived from John David Jackson's renowned book on Classical Electrodynamics, considered one of the most challenging texts in the field. Despite its difficulty, the question is highly relevant for the JEE Advanced exam. Many IIT professors also use this book, along with Griffiths' Electrodynamics, to create questions for electrostatics.

This similar question I have did in electrostatic potential. I think we shall only put Potential difference in Capacitance formula

Bhaiya i think there is a mistake....electric field due to infinite current carrying wire at a distance x from center will be 2kλ/x where k is 1/4πε•....please make me correct if i am wrong

should we prefer jackson electrodynamics ( only some ques ) for electrostatics at jee adv?

Depends on what those "some questions" were,if you have a mentor, definitely ask him for what questions those "some questions" shall be

Imo,physics galaxy is more than enough for electrostatics, can do a few selected Qs off pathfinder and then you should be good to go.
