    Teeny hint. The little black button on the presser foot can be engaged to accommodate the thickness at the start of the row. Press the front of the foot down, push the button and the foot will be level for few stitches.

    Your are a natural teacher. Wonderful tutorial. One of the things I noticed was that you muted the sound of the sewing machine. I have tried watching other tutorials where you hear the ma nine the whole time. Not enjoyable. Thank you

    What do you use for the base?

  • @rebeccaburkett6870
    @rebeccaburkett6870 Год назад +1

    Question: is your rope that's in the bottom of your bowl that's going back and forth, is there some space between each line that you're stitching down? When I did it, I couldn't get the U-turn of the rope to stay tight enough to keep the lines straight and I ended up with a divot on one side.

      Hi there! We used a regular embroidery needle, 80/12, ceramic coated (bit.ly/RFS-embroideryneedle). A jeans needle would work, too! The most important thing is that it be sharp and you change it out as needed throughout the project.
      If you make a rope bowl of your own, we'd love to see the finished product! Feel free to stop by our Facebook group and show it off bit.ly/rfsgroup.
      Happy Sewing,
      Rebs

    at the 18 minute mark, you talk about putting ShapeFlex 101 on the fancy square fabric and then you added heat and bond. How did you adhere the Shapeflex to the fabric?
