I've found you!! Your name was mentioned in a video by Robyn Pitts recently, and I didn't have a chance to look you up at that time. Here I am browsing around and happened upon you!! Robyn introduced me to a genius paper cutting hack of yours with a mini waterfall tutorial she demonstrated, and I just wanted to say thanks a million! Anytime we can get more out of our paper than we think we can, it's a great thing!! Thank you for this tutorial as well!! I'm looking forward to browsing your channel more!!
Annette, well done! Clear instructions, especially for those of us who hate math. The way you built the base makes perfect sense to me. Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial!
Perfect, Annette. Once again, I give you props on your teaching style. Smooth. So well spoken. When I give my PD webinars, I feel that I continually stumble over my words. Ne’er a um or er comes out of your mouth. Seems scripted. And I haven’t even mentioned how helpful this tutorial is! Love the journal for writing out and drawing of the measurements. Exactly what I do. Fits my learning style. So happy to know that website. I knew 3/4 was .75. That conversion helps me figure out fractions. But 5/8 is .625 or something!? Who knew. You make it all seem so easy. I know graphic design is your calling, but you are also a born teacher.
Susan, you always make me feel appreciated and encouraged. And it's comments like yours that keep me going. Thanks so much for all the kind words. I'm glad you learned something new and enjoyed the video. By the way, I love to follow Jennifer McGuire on RUclips. She's an ACE at beautifully composed, enjoyable videos. Watched, took notes...now to practice!! I never would’ve thought the bases COULD be made from card stock ! Well done Annette 👏, I usually have my husband cut my thick chipboard for me when I’ve made things, thank you for sharing, have to surprise him with something now 😊
Hello Annette, Thank you for sharing this great idea. There were many things that I made that I so wanted to put feet on but couldn't because of the design. I know what to do now. It's brilliant. I did make a base for another project that I made and it came out beautiful thanks to you. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless.
That's so great to hear Cecelia. Thanks for letting me know it worked out for you. I, myself, have to come back to this video from time to time to remember how to do this when I need to do another. Thanks for watching!
Annette - thank you so much for your brilliant tutorial - easy to follow and you make all of it look so much easier than I imagined. Looking forward to trying this although not looking forward to the math - oh well I need to get over the math stuff.
Thank you Annette for this great tutorial, you are so talented! I have admired your projects and wished I was closer to take one of your classes to learn how you created this base! Maybe some day you will be up to Alberta, Canada and I could take a class then. In the meantime, I am excited to try this technique! Arlene
Hi! I saw a post on pinterest of your communique box and fell in love with it, later I was searching on RUclips how to make it. You used a wooden slab as a base but I don't have that so I have adjusted a canvas frame to the desired size. Matted the frame and glued the legs and the box. I felt happy, then! What an achievement! So sad, though, that metal vintage telephone is not there in stores, if anyone finds it please share the website! Thank you so much, dear Annette 😘❤🌷
What an excellent idea to use a canvas frame! I had found that wonderful telephone embellishment at my local Michaels store in the $1 bin. It was just one of those things I had held onto forever and finally found a use for. I will come back here and post if I ever see another somewhere.

Thanx for such a great and surprisingly easy way to build a stand....and out of cardstock, no less! I thought you were using chipboard!
Patti Henschen Thanks. Yes, it’s pretty amazing how sturdy cardstock can be!

Do you have a tutorial on the desk card and pen holder?
No, sorry, Karan I don’t. That one was made with book boxes which Graphic 45 doesn’t carry anymore and a wood slab for the base.
Bonjour je comprends pas j habite i Belgique 😭
I'm so sorry.
