This reminds me of my level 100 pidgey. I just wanted to prove he *could* be strong if he was a high enough level. I traded him from game to game over the years. I remember beating the bug gym in Gold/Silver/Crystal with a level 85ish pidgey that wouldn't listen. As an extra factoid, not all worker bees are infertile which is why they are referred to as females - if the queen gets killed, eaten or just straight up dies before laying an egg that can be fed the royal jelly to become a queen, a worker bee will asexually lay fertilised eggs to become a queen bee as there is no queen to make a new one! (Also also if there's more than one viable queen that hatches they will fight to the death/if one hatches before the other the hatched queen with seek and destroy which is pretty savage)

@@jbwarner8626 Not really, I found this trick. Play HG/SS on 3DS put your pokemon into daycare , after that go to the ghost type gym then take a penny which makes you keep running then leave it over night.

I think it’s a little of both? He knows beedrill isn’t the best stat wise and was just doing it for the bit, but he does love beedrill just as a Pokémon. Now whether or not he liked beedrill before or it grew on him during the series I don’t know
Agreed with person above! I also thinks it's like Arin and Dan both says: He likes the pokemon, but then people tells him it sucks and should be replaced, so he doubles down to express his seemingly undying love for that little bee.

Like ants, a large majority of bees are female. In their eusocial structure of living, males are only really useful for producing offspring with queen bees, so all worker bees are infertile female bees. Bees also separate their larvae from honey and the two dont intermix, they just use the same type of storage structure for different purposes as the hexagonal chamber pattern is used for both storage and structural integrity of the hive. The layering Arin described is moreso used to determine how the bee larvae develops and what gender it is, as the deeper into the hive you go the warmer it is and heat can determine what chromosomes form in development. To some degree, temperature can also affect if a human fetus develops into a male or female.

Bees arent technically female. Most worker drones do not have the ability to reproduce, and also have different chromosomes to that of a queen, of which their can be multiple "heirs" or females of at any given time.
So most bees and ant's aren't female. Technically, they're ... non-bee-nary.

Biologists have OPENLY stated that they could have commonly referred to worker bees as ANY gender, infertile male OR infertile female, with no difference other than the fact their adherence to their own societal gender binary is more important to them then the actual structure of the animals they are talking of.
Also worker drones are towards the top of the hive, with male bees lower and females lower than that. So even in regards to the "temperature can partially dictate gender" it further proves the point that they are a different gender outside of the binary.
Also being intersex or genetically non-binary (eugenics are horrible) is more common than having green eyes, and less than 0.4% less common than having red hair. Its not exactly hard to believe that a seperate genetic species with such a large polymorphism from relations to us has a high number of non-gendered members in a working society. As an extra factoid, not all worker bees are infertile which is why they are referred to as females - if the queen gets killed, eaten or just straight up dies before laying an egg that can be fed the royal jelly to become a queen, a worker bee will asexually lay fertilised eggs to become a queen bee as there is no queen to make a new one! Bees are so cool. (Also also if there's more than one viable queen that hatches they will fight to the death/if one hatches before the other the hatched queen with seek and destroy which is pretty savage)

I did a Beedrill only Pokemon Red run a few months ago. It can learn Hyper Beam in Red and Blue, which was the saving grace of the run.
