No one knows Blues as well or better than CHITOWN......so lucky to have grown up there. I got to hear Blues since I was a baby boy many many decades ago. The Bluesy and WINDY city.!!! Hail Blues Hail Chitown
The Jimmy Rogers Tribute band was a true supergroup. That set took me back to the glory days of Chess and all the great nights when I got to see Jimmy play. Thanks guys, and thanks to the city for making it happen.
We had the pleasure of attending in person, and watching it again here is such a blessing! Corey was AMAZING - I'm a huge fan of Charley Patton et al, and he absolutely nailed it. And what a mensch!! I love his stage demeanor. I'll comment on the other acts elsewhere. Thank you Corey, you are awesome!!
Man I wish I were there! So nice to see Father and son (grandson) playing together on a historic day! The “ What make people” was smoking ! Like Jimmy D says ” it all Good”!
This is the sound my friends. Not many can nail it, but this band does Jimmy Rogers' legacy proud. Remember seeing him on the Front Porch Stage not so long ago? We don't hear it live often anymore, so it sounds so good when we do. Shout out to Jimmy and Sebastian Lane for carrying the torch!. Shout out to all the great Chicago blues families. The Morganfields, the Taylors, the Rogers, the Bells, the Dixons, the blues rolls on....
