LOL, at best it would use 6.9 for 120 km/h drive, even at 130 it would go to at least 7.5, and at mentioned speed my guess is it would be 15+ at minimum. In fact there is no car in the world using that little fuel at that speed, except if thrown from airplane :D
@@maxmad4771 I know it sounds unbelievable but I am talking about the whole Journey during which Germany was only a part, but at least 500 km pedal to the metal ;)
@@PetrolBeast Older cars has very inaccurate fuel consumption numbers. My car is from 2002, in realty it use 1.5-2 liters more than board computer shows. All in all, best method I use always is fill to the brim 2nd click. Either way any 1.9-2.0 diesel engine under 130 km/h use at least 6.5, realistically 7 litters. For every 10 km beyond 110 you can add 1 liter at least (probably more faster you go).
I bought it in may 2008, received it in August and I unfortunately sold it in september 2014 at 134500 km, with only one failure, a clutch change! the biggest mistake I've ever made! I own a X1 F48 at the moment but it's not the same pleasure to drive it!
Hey I’m thinking about buying one of these and I want the 2008 just a quick question is the steering wheel stiff because my dad has a bmw but it’s a sports one and it’s so hard to turn the steering wheel I just thought I’d ask because this is the most of my concern
I swear to the Gods, if you can find me a BMW 130i M-Sport 5 door in manual, low miles, full BMW service history, on one of the last ones made in this shape, then I would be most happy indeed. But they are so rare in manual and there are not many auto's of the 130i out their. Use to despise the 1-series, but in the right one, they are a solid and actually very capable car. Just one thing though, if you do buy a 1-series, if you leave it for a week, you can 100% be assured the battery will be flat. Big flaws with BMWs is that I am afraid.
"if you leave it for a week, you can 100% be assured the battery will be flat." That's just not true. Maybe you had one with a faulty battery but this is just bullshit.
@FKEY No its true, because it happens to the old man's. He's finally getting rid of it. If you do not drive them, BMWs fall wayward quickly. It is all the little electrical stuff, the little door lights, etc, etc are always drawing energy from battery, hence you always need to drive a BMW. Other annoying stuff, like why is it like doing the krypton factor, just to get the battery out, and so on. Over engineered.
@@KiwiGraggle Mhm, I haven't had this issue yet to be honest. And a week is a lil extreme imo. And ofc you need to drive it, it's "the ultimate driving machine". They're meant to be driven. But in all seriousness, I'm sure there must be something wrong with your(?) bmw if it drained its own battery in a week though.
@13 non è il problema della catena di distribuzione ma il pignone costruito male che da problemi ad essa un mio conoscente distrutto tutto il motore a 70.000 km .In più i cambi durissimi , insomma le BMW non valgono i soldi che chiedono 😭

I remember driving this exact car 10 years ago for holiday to Spain. It used 6,9l/100km at 200 km/h on the German autobahn!!!

Thats not possible. It would be at least 7.5 if not even up to 9 when you drive 200km/h
