I had a team really similar to the first one that got me Legend when Carbink first came out: It ran Haxorus in lead (pre Breaking Swipe debuff), with Chesnaught and Carbink in the back. I could see Shadow Gallade in the lead as a similarly good option, being only slightly worse against Golbat but way better against the meta at large.
Ariados is going to be a super cool pick in this

It really seems like they haven’t updated the list in a bit; gfisk and medi are absolutely not in the top 20 most common mons but somehow gligar and quag aren’t??
Just went 13-2 with Carbink lead and Goodra/Dragonair. Double Dragon back line just rips through most anything and has water coverage for other Carbink users.

I think it's more likely the casual meta shofts slowers than the more hardcore battlers. The hardcore people for pvp in Pokémon Go are the ones who pay attention to all the PvP RUclipsrs. The every day person who just battles for the mild challenge is probably much slower at understandijg meta shifts.
