What if the Florian Triangle monsters are protecting something? For those monsters to be there, stagnant as time goes on it seems a bit weird. They seem more like guardians for something grand rather than random nuisances in the One Piece world.
I'm starting to think that if Zunisha was a crewmate of Joy Boy's in some way, and there's some hinting within the narrative that Joy Boy was a Giant of some kind, then potentially the monsters of the Florian Triangle may all have been crewmates of Joy Boy. If they are sea monks they you could view them as the disciples of Joy Boy. Although in the same sense they could be viewed as antithetical to Joy Boy and therefore disciples of Imu. Typically though, my intuition would say that if Oda is taking influence from the Umibozu myth, then by reversing their name to result in Imu I would expect them to be an opposition to Imu.

We pretty reliably know that there are about 50 days between the Strawhats reuniting in Saobody and arriving in Wano, and about 14 days on Wano before Zunesha arrived. That equates to roughly 1/3 of the way around the grand line in 50 days, or a full circumnavigation in about 150. Keep that number in mind. We also know that the trip from Zou to WCI was "several days", they spent 15 days in WCI, and took another "several days" to go from WCI to Wano, and as stated before, spent 14 days on Wano before Zunesha arrived. Total travel time for the Strawhats to go from Zou to Wano is about a week. Total travel time for Zunesha to get to Wano behind them is about 5 weeks. So we can approximate Zunesha's speed at around 1/5th that of the Thousand Sunny. If the Thousand Sunny can circumnavigate the globe in 150 days, and Zunesha walks at 20% of that speed, they can circumnavigate the globe in 750 days or about 2 years. Put another way, in 1000 years, Zunesha can walk all the way back and forth between the two sides of the Red Line in The New World 500 times. TF has Zunesha been doing for the OTHER 998 years? Imu can see through the monsters eyes just like Momosuke through Zunishas and thats the reason he ordered the killing of Moria. He saw his defeat by Luffy. Also, before Shirahoshis reveal, I thought that the Florian triangle monster was Poseidon, due to it looking like a trident and a trident actually being a huge weapon....but now I think its Pluton, since it does look atleast semi-artificial and I could imagine someone built it 800 years ago. Shirahoshi controling seakings, Momosuke zunisha and Imu the Florian triangle monster are the 3 ancient weapons.

I like the return to reverie idea though, where pluton as a battleship is actually just a counter-measure to the real pluton, which is someone who can command these monsters: Vivi.

I think they could be Uranus, if they are at least as tall as Zunisha. Remember Zu is tall enough to eat apples off of sky islands (mentioned in an SBS) that would qualify Zu to be able to reach the skies with ease which would make her a Uranus candidate. So if the monsters can reach that high as well, I think it's safe to say they could also qualify as a Uranus candidate. It would also make sense why Uranus has never been a focal point if Imu is able to control them & they are close to several government places so they are never out of reach for Imu. What if God Valley "disappeared" due to those monsters, if anything has the strength to completely make an island vanish WITHOUT A TRACE it has to be unbelievably strong. One could argue a buster call was performed, but if this was the case, Sengoku wouldn't say the island disappeared. The cause of the island no longer being there wouldn't be a mystery unless how it was done was a secret. This just coming off the top of my head so apologies if anything didn't make sense or there were things I forgot.

JoyBoy had Zunisha(maybe *others as well) whiles Imu had the rest of the gigantic monsters. Zunisha once belonged to Imu as well, until Joyboy rescued her and had her fight alongside him. So that's the crime, Zunisha ending up as Imu's enemy. And the punishment may be tied to Imu as well, not just the fact that Imu gave Zunisha that punishment but maybe their lives are tethered together somehow, so if Zunisha were to be killed instead, a part of Imu's soul or power would vanish too. This theory 'add-on' from me only works if you truly believe that Imu has lived as long if not longer than Zunisha(who is 1000yrs+ old) or the Florian monsters(Umi), and is tied to them somehow(obviously the eyes are the only bit of proof here, but it's something). In that sense, Mihawk's eyes could be linked to something as well(I'd say, his sword if I were to guess or his eyes influenced the monkeys' evolution somehow without him realizing?) and we already know this to be true because Hakuba is tethered to Cavendish, only, with them the soul link works internally within one body(like a devil fruit in base) while Imu and Mihawk affect external things(like awakening). I may have gone a little too tinfoil in the end there but it's fun to think about, really. [*remember Roger had a gigantic egg on board his ship? My guess is that, aside the ancient weapons, sovereigns and rulers(Joyboy and Imu), there's a fourth and final piece and that's the monsters they used to literally remake and reshape the world, *Oars is a good example too.]
i'm sure this is was just a throw away, "ooooooo, mystierous" from oda.. because they are definitely based on the umi bozu from Japanese myth. and since they so heavily call back to something in our world and aren't a unique spin on a real world concept like most important things in one piece. i have to assume that they were just a device for oda to end his "spooky" ark with something cool.

I like your idea of pluton's blueprints not being a guide to build it but the information of its birth/revival. What if all 3 ancient weapons were not actual weapons but living creatures instead. Note that the sea kings said that 2 sovereigns will be born and Shirahoshi is an ancient weapon so what if the 2nd sovereign is also an ancient weapon. Maybe momo is Pluton since he's the only one who can command Zunesha with the voice of all things, and what if Uranus is Nami since Uranus is often related to the sky and Nami has a natural talent for reading the weather which was pointed out multiple times in the story also Shirahosi somehow immediately felt comfortable around Nami when they first met, could it be because this was an encounter of 2 ancient weapons?

ive always thought that the florian triangle monsters were originally the shadows of very powerful people who could never return to the owners body,however the owner of the shadow fruit died and theyre trapped to the florian triangle to never enter sunlight. you know how they sink ships and some ships are seen without any people on board? thats because these shadow monsters might be trying to find their previous body,from when their shadows got taken away,and those bodies werent theirs,thus they consumed them?? and ships that sunk was because of the same reason.

Water 7 needs a way to recreate the weapon pluton if it is ever out. If the elephant is the carriage for pluton like people are saying. Then wouldn't they need another elephant that other people didn't know about. So if you hide them in a giant fog that no one could see them in. I think they could be Uranus, if they are at least as tall as Zunisha. Remember Zu is tall enough to eat apples off of sky islands (mentioned in an SBS) that would qualify Zu to be able to reach the skies with ease which would make her a Uranus candidate. So if the monsters can reach that high as well, I think it's safe to say they could also qualify as a Uranus candidate.
It would also make sense why Uranus has never been a focal point if Imu is able to control them & they are close to several government places so they are never out of reach for Imu. What if God Valley "disappeared" due to those monsters, if anything has the strength to completely make an island vanish WITHOUT A TRACE it has to be unbelievably strong. One could argue a buster call was performed, but if this was the case, Sengoku wouldn't say the island disappeared. The cause of the island no longer being there wouldn't be a mystery unless how it was done was a secret.

Thriller Bark isn't a island it's a ship
What if they’re early gigantification experiments when we saw them near Thriller Bark and they show up to fight Zunesha in Wano
JoyBoy had Zunisha(maybe *others as well) whiles Imu had the rest of the gigantic monsters.
Zunisha once belonged to Imu as well, until Joyboy rescued her and had her fight alongside him.
So that's the crime, Zunisha ending up as Imu's enemy.
And the punishment may be tied to Imu as well, not just the fact that Imu gave Zunisha that punishment but maybe their lives are tethered together somehow, so if Zunisha were to be killed instead, a part of Imu's soul or power would vanish too.
This theory 'add-on' from me only works if you truly believe that Imu has lived as long if not longer than Zunisha(who is 1000yrs+ old) or the Florian monsters(Umi), and is tied to them somehow(obviously the eyes are the only bit of proof here, but it's something).
In that sense, Mihawk's eyes could be linked to something as well(I'd say, his sword if I were to guess or his eyes influenced the monkeys' evolution somehow without him realizing?) and we already know this to be true because Hakuba is tethered to Cavendish, only, with them the soul link works internally within one body(like a devil fruit in base) while Imu and Mihawk affect external things(like awakening).
I may have gone a little too tinfoil in the end there but it's fun to think about, really.
[*remember Roger had a gigantic egg on board his ship? My guess is that, aside the ancient weapons, sovereigns and rulers(Joyboy and Imu), there's a fourth and final piece and that's the monsters they used to literally remake and reshape the world, *Oars is a good example too.]

ive always thought that the florian triangle monsters were originally the shadows of very powerful people who could never return to the owners body,however the owner of the shadow fruit died and theyre trapped to the florian triangle to never enter sunlight. you know how they sink ships and some ships are seen without any people on board? thats because these shadow monsters might be trying to find their previous body,from when their shadows got taken away,and those bodies werent theirs,thus they consumed them?? and ships that sunk was because of the same reason.

Ok so now I think Pluton is something to do with the elephant for sure. Also they are elephants in that triangle. The reason is how close water 7 is to it. Water 7 needs a way to recreate the weapon pluton if it is ever out. If the elephant is the carriage for pluton like people are saying. Then wouldn't they need another elephant that other people didn't know about. So if you hide them in a giant fog that no one could see them in. They could mate for the next 1000 years and live in the fog. Then whenever you needed the elephant again to pull pluton. Water 7 had their farm of giant elephants right next to them.
