Chico Bean & Royce 5'9 could pass as brothers
And I love chico bean head ahh too 🤣❤️
Chico can play Royce in his biopic lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No lie I thought he was until
I been said that.lol
Royce is really a intellectual person every interview I see him on is incredibly enlightening hats off to this man
Love Royce's mind and continued evolution. I always take time to listen to this man speak. Nothing but respect
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Royce is misrepresenting the events in my opinion. I saw those instagram lives and Royce was very disrespectful, dismissive and spoke in circles around actually having some level of lyrical competition while simultaneously talking about how he's the best. Lupe just wanted to set the terms of what the standards would be for proving you're the best and then actually go and prove it on a song or battle of some sort. Royce kept belittling Lupe and Mickey Factz, talking about how they don't measure up.
Royce's tone is completely different in this interview compared to those lives. He definitely earned that outcome he got.
You're forgetting the most important part
Lupe's opinion wasn't warranted
It was a convo mostly between Royce, RJ, and Ransom with Factz as a mediator. That's why all 3 of them dismissed Lupe, not just Royce. Had he stated his opinion and then went about his business, we would have a Royce, Rj, Ransom collab by now because that's where the conversation was going before Lupe butted in.
@@kingakil8599 that was a month before the beef. The convo was deaded and then brought back in another form weeks later by Mook and Lux. Look at the videos and the dates
EXACTLY! This is why I can't buy him being over it. U don't lie about the facts if your truly over it. Don't worm that way.
Royce do be cappin but Lupe was eggin Royce on and kept trying to be funny saying Royce wasnt the best he aint on eow he aint the best repetitively on live then royce got fed up with it and started saying im better then them and im better then you but that was after several lives of Lupe clownin
I was thinking the same thing! I love him as an artist, but he was so convoluted with the message he was trying to get across. At one point I thought he was trying to bring competitive energy, and I was excited about it. Then when anybody challenged him, he would switch up his stance, on some passive shit....but at the same time kinda bullying people like Mickey. I was disappointed big time, but I'm still a fan of the music
Royce is one of the most honest, intellectual and articulate brothers in the rap game. Love listening to him drop GEMS
He lied the whole interview u must be on drugs
He lied a lot
Hella dope to see Royce continue opening doors and taking a great artist like Courtney Bell under his wing. As a Detroit native and an artist myself, I’m very proud to see this.🔥🔥🔥

@@detroitboxingtv9875 Bingo.
he's only regretting what he said because Lupe humiliated him.
Still miss The Lupe & Royce show. That was my absolute favorite podcast at the time.. Royce was actually the funnier one.. very dry humor, but hilarious. They had great chemistry. Still wish they could channel that energy into a musical collaboration. They could have been a great duo.
Me too, I enjoyed the Lupe and Royce show so much. But I recall Lu getting persuaded by his following to do a podcast back when he was always on IG Live during the start of the pandemic. He was always very apprehensive about it but he was also doing this podcast as a solid to his homie Tom.
I miss it too. Not just for what it was, but for what it could've been in the future had they continued do it. All things must come to an end though I guess
Idk, it always seemed like a ticking time bomb to me. They were low key testy from early on and it just got worse over time. Would be nice to see them make amends, but I doubt they work together in that kind of format again.
@@JustinJ Looks like somebody's stalking me. Sorry, but I don't swing that way. Try calling your boyfriend, Diddy.
Great Great interview and they broke everything down perfectly 💯
PROUD TO BE ALIVE TO SEE AHK GET WHAT HE DESERVES! C.BELL CONTINUE TO PUT ON💯🥂🤎
I love that he held his brothers down. He is a real one.
The entire tone and delivery of this incredibly insightful interview is why therapy is very important, especially in the Black Commmunity, and especially amongst us Black Men. Royce has been in my top 5 for years, not just because of his pen, but because he literally transformed from waving military grade explosives way before a RondoNumbaNine, and wrestling with alcoholism, to being Grammy nominated for talking about it all, amongst some of the very best Hip-Hop has to offer. A true Artist's artist, and a survivor.
Big up to Royce for continuing to overcome all that's been thrown at him and learning from it, and shout out to all the smart brothas up there with him. We rescued a Bull Terrier about 3 years ago now, and named him Royce out of respect for this man's creativity, talent, and determination. This interview has inspired me even more to look at creating a hub in my own city! 💯
BTW...Ras Kass of the HRSMN is STILL waiting on an answer back about a possible "Slaughterhorse" project. Released a whole song about it lol.
which song?
💯💯💯💯
I don't wanna waste my time with this interview unless Royce addresses how Lupe Fiasco and Mickey Factz lyrically slaughtered him for being disrespectful and outta pocket on his instagram lives about a year ago.
Royce was wrong to call Lupe a bitch. But you don’t think that Lupe has just as much blame? How would you react if you are in your office at work and your coworker comes into your office with no shirt on and starts yelling at you? How will you respond?
@@iz630 I don't care that Royce called him a bitch, and claimed to be better than other rappers while dismissing Lupe and Mickey Factz.
I care that Royce popped shit and then didn't respond when he got his ass handed to him back to back when it was what he asked for. That is unforgivable to me.
Then he tried to act like a victim of a surprise attack when he just fucked around and found out that the ppl he was trying to herb were actually bigger wolves than he'd ever tussled with lyrically.
@@bw4348 that’s fair I guess

Wow!! Royce's growth is really amazing. He definitely has jewels to offer with his insight.

He can't ask dumb questions anymore now that Angela Yee left the show.

When lupe was freestyling in between listening to Royce Diss song (then didn'teven bother to listen to the whole thing)...Royce couldn't reply back after that , that would been a career ending if Lupe was serious
Lupe’s diss was mid until the final min. You can tell it was made very quickly. Lyrically Royce song washed Lupe’s but Royce was just lyrically flexing with a few lines while Lupe was direct.
The person with the best combo of lyricism and direct diss was Mickey Factz by far! He actually washed Royce! Wraith was pure 🔥
Also I promise you Lupe listened to Royce’s diss.
I love all 3 of them as MCs by the way.
@@superdopehiphop yes I agree but that my point. Lupe reply was a freestyle so it was mid but that was impressive for him to do it on a fly and was even recited Royce lines with his own reply . And it was freestyle because Roy can’t freestyle ( Royce admitted during live with Lupe ) so that was a shot And I believe Lupe thadidn’t listen to the whole song . During live QA fans were bring up bars latter of that diss and his Demeanorshows he didn’t listen to rest of it. Lupe is so smart and so lyrical he drops what like 4-5 songs afterwards , wasn’t no diss to Roy but show him you ain’t on my level. I like Royce but he’s twisting the Slaughterhouse narrative. Crook and Joel waited 10 years for Joe and Royce to get slaughterhouse moving to the next step. Joe was adamant he had retired. Even when the group came off shady, they waited over a year but Joe didn’t want to rap. Crook even went public to try get them together to move the group forward. Royce has always been stuck to Joe.
You obviously didn’t listen joe and Royce wanted the right deal not just the first deal to come that’s bad business and they had to get off shady
@@Justinmjm12 crook and Joel are not obligated to Royce and budden timeline. They made the best move for them. Kudos for taking control of their careers. Project was 🔥too

Joe called Joel and told him he would call Crook, but Crook never got a call. Joe was NEVER going to rap. He has said it time and time again. Royce for some reason is delusional thinking he would.

"I'm with all the smoke"

Exactly it’s been 10 years. Royce still acting like it was something left. Joel and Crook made the best move for them
Did you not listen to the interview? Them as a group despite what Joe said publicly had knowledge via multiple meetings they had of joes willingness to rap once they retained ownership.

Royce’s brother made a hell of a diss track for Mickey
Royce, that's how you feel and we get it. But truth be told,Lu had you in a headlock with that "angry sheet" as you called it.
Lupe is ILL AF at his best just like Royce but besides final minute or so his diss was mid. You could tell it was put together quick. Lyrically Royce’s song killed Lupe it was just less direct and more few lines and flexing lyrically.
Mickey Factz is the one who murdered Royce combining ILL AF lyricism and direct AF dissing.
@@superdopehiphop disagree fam. Lupe joint was clear and direct with just enough lyrical demonstrations to know Lupe could easily go there if he wanted to. Also, Lupe was out to prove his point and put Royce out of his comfort zone. It's interesting how Royce is framing this like Lupe overreacted. I guess he is relying on the audience not knowing about some details.
Also, what Mickey did sounds like it was SLR 2 inspired. It was great, but it don't have nearly the same impact as Lupe's diss and impact is everything in a diss.
@@superdopehiphop terrible take. Lupes diss >>>
@@ImInYourBrains Impact bc majority of masses sleep on and don’t know who Mickey Factz is and he wasn’t the main part of the beef, but lyrical execution and pen game creativity mixed with being direct Mickey’s diss was light years > Lupe’s and this is coming from someone who loves Lupe’s intricate deeply layer skill set. Royce came from a lyrical flex perspective and showed how nice he was. It was clearly never a diss SONG but a skills flex with a few jabs.
I do agree Royce not coming back to Lupe and Mickey and the way he’s acted on IG lives and certain interviews is not a good look. Lupe’s 1st diss he could of destroyed lyrically and directness which was disappointing as a HipHop head of 35 years who lives and breaths it while loving battle rap too!
I think Royce knows he can’t battle rap with Mickey or if he could it would take a long time to have a doper diss then Wraith.
@@FALLACYix couldn’t disagree more. I choose to remain objective. Lupe one of my favorite writers and intricate deeply layered lyricists ever, but he brought his C+ pen game which was very obvious next to Royce simply lyrically flexing song and Mickey’s (the best combo of both).
I def wish Royce replied to both and he’s had bad looks on IG/interviews, but maybe as someone who had beef with many in the past when he had a lot of issues (alcoholism, Jail for a little bit) he didn’t want to be apart of that energy, but then don’t throw jabs at ppl and be condescending on IG lives.
I’m sad there was no A game lyricism + directness back and forth. They did two diff things in their tracks so it wasn’t really a battle.
Royce and Joe should release an album called the real housewives of glasshouse
