One of the best things about Sagar's commentary is that he doesn't even pause the video to explain the position or best lines. His instruction is so clear even a noob like me can understand what is happening in the game without pausing the video. Thank you for anothe great video CBI.
Two things I love about this game: 1) Love it when the pros play in the old rubber rollup board. They visualize patterns, they don't care about the hardware 2) Watching a 1900 ELO make the same moves I would make. I feel like playing myself.
That was stunningly brilliant at the time limit, in fact at any time limit! Fair play to his opponent though, he certainly put up a good fight as well. Chucky at his best is simply poetry in motion.
I noticed, when Ivanchuk makes a sacrifice its usually for activity. He likes to create asymmetrical positions that are double edged and require precise moves to pay off.
A brilliancy he was moving piece as if he will crush them and i don't think he realizes he has one minute left so can play a little slow and after the game he just stormed away like he was unhappy with his performance
In blitz, the convention is that you can start making your move once your opponent has made their move, regardless of clock. (Watch Hikaru play OTB to see clear examples of this).
Also, the move you're referencing appears to be White playing castles, which is a lengthy move to make physically. It's clear that that move is happening/locked in once Timofeev sets his King on g1, so Ivanchuk begins his next move at that moment.
Good theory preparation by White, blitz is harder than classical in a way and it's no shame lose in middle game relying on worse intuition against superGM
Did that kid really think he was going to win somehow ? Mind your face kid put some respect on it. You should be thankful you got to even play with a legend.
Excellent game by Ivanchuk, also 1900s are so strong these days. Good learning for all of us 🙏
This is some of the best commentary I've ever heard.

Я понимаю даже не зная языка 😅
Absolutely, the commentary is good, I like that he explains just what you need to know to understand the stakes of the position and nothing more.
Strong play by the 1900.
Indeed
He's 2100+ fide classical it appears
He is 2061 at the moment (04.09.2024).

I wonder if that guy is underrated, or just a good blitz player. I'm 1900 classical and I definitely wouldn't have played as well lol
Old, but still sooo sharp. A true legend of chess Chucky is
Amazing game by that 1900! He has some serious positional understanding. I bet he's a lot stronger than his rating indicates.
He is 2061 (04.09.2024).
He's just 15, too. These teens are all underrated (will become GMs in their early 20s, some will go on to be super GMs).
Nice game of Ivanchuk from Ukraine. He's still in a good shape for the age
6:43 Ivanchuk start shaking 😅

Сыграть с легендой! Я максимум 2400-2550 выигрывал в турнирах, а здесь игрок из топ-5 когда то.

Ivanchuck makes ONE Mistake...He didnt setup his Pieces after the Game :-)
One of the greatest of all time!
Вася молодец !
waltz of chess by Mr. Ivanchuk!
I like the way this guy give his analysis on this game. I am a fan of Ivanchuk, he is funny when he give interview and analyzing his own game.
What tournament organizer has ivanchuck playing on plastic pieces!?
I would have thought Abu Dhabi would have had some nicer chess boards for this tournament lol. Looks like the amazon set i bought recently.
Seriously
Where the hell did all that oil money go?
A brilliancy he was moving piece as if he will crush them and i don't think he realizes he has one minute left so can play a little slow and after the game he just stormed away like he was unhappy with his performance
Seems like he had to use the toilet or something...
El día de mañana este niño dira: jugué contra una leyenda.
I like how he just moves away from the board lets the 1993 elo pack both sides of em pieces 😅
Lool
That will give him time to contemplate his loss.
@@DrakoLykoi Lol no, he is just too lazy to put the pieces back
I think he just forgot because of adrenaline
I thought I clicked on a video clip of Ivan Lendl playing tennis 😁I ended up watching Ivan Chuk playing chess.
Chucky the Goat 🐐
Ok, brilliant game but also Ivanchuk can place the pieces on the board at the end XD
Kid played very well. I guess he is at least 2100 strength right now...
Ivanchuk's hand is shaking at the end
What an attack by Chucky!
1900 was playing decent chess until, Nd6
Tempted to fall in to trap
I mean really ? No 1900 player is going to play decent chess against someone at that level. It's an illusion.
The 2D board could stay just a second more in the final position for us to pause there and understand. Love your videos! 🙏🏼
Haha chucky was like u dare to make such a nice sac against me.. I show u a really sac😂😂
Only takes one mistake...what a legend
that was awesome!
And to think this guy once didn't see mate in one....
Leaves the 1900 player to set back up.
What an exciting game.
Ivanchuk is crazyyy ...excellent game of the boy with whiteeee
This guy must be underrated l.
Legend
Chuky, my favorite player
once Chucky sac his queen was ALL OVER.
what a game by chukky
Ivanchuk moving at his opponent's time at 00:19. Is that allowed (serious question)?
It happens every day in otb blitz. It is normal,
@@ChessHoodie okay thanks. But I assumed it would say something about it in the rules?
No but this is already the third different rule that Ivanchuk broke in this blitz tournament

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Who else notices Ivanchuk's hand shaking after the sac ?
Old gms really strong , today gms mostly memorize computer moves😂😂😂
please don't fade the onscreen keyboard before the game ends
GOAT
Good theory preparation by White, blitz is harder than classical in a way and it's no shame lose in middle game relying on worse intuition against superGM
3:30 but the queen is doing much as such
Bro that is taking i would love to see you play
I want to play ivanchuk.. i think i can beat him now
😂😂😂😂
There's always this one guy 🙄
😄😄😄
2500 rating at a minimum for even the slightest chance.
It's interesting to see the age difference.
Wow don’t even think a while to sacrifice
Heh, both queens was slain on their starting squares.
wow...
Sadly Vasyl shakes hand with russian
1900 elo player is target practice for Ivanchuk
His opponent is really very strong.. if it was Rapid he could win or draw
third from indonesia
Me to I am 1500elo
Put your pieces back after the game finishes Ivanchuk. Good for you son, you show them.
А фигурки то надо за собой расставлять... Даже если ты гений!
Russians are not banned from chess as well?
yeet
Leeets goooo, Ukraine
