Lean into Jesus. Replace your thoughts with thoughts of him. Have a constant conversation with him about every action you take or his goodness. Only speak the word of God and words that praise him Any time your thoughts go to anything in your life or other people, immediately focus your thoughts on something of him. Force your self to not think of any thoughts from the past only focus on Jesus in that moment. Force yourself to think of loving thoughts about everybody. This will help you get closer to Jesus and hear from the holy spirit. Make sure you give the most of your time in a day to him. It can just be sitting and doing nothing but thinking about his goodness. He will start revealing things to you. Especially is you pray to him to show you who he is, to reveal what it is he wants you to know. Ask him to replace your thoughts and what you have been programmed to think about reality with his truth. I am not trying to tell you what to do like I know all, I am just sharing with you what helped me. We each have our own Journey with him. I was raised in church going 4 times a week and tried to understand the Bible. It wasn't until I did the things I mentioned above that I really got to hear from God and receive knowledge and understanding only he knows. I pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding, Gods grace and mercy and to guide your steps as you finish the last leg of your race home. In Jesus mighty name...Amen
