    Based upon his history so far, my expectation is that Shimmie will next begin streaming videos of him cheating and set new standards in the art of cheating and be asked to join a prestigious team of cheaters only to be tossed out when it's revealed that he had been playing legit the whole time instead of cheating.

    • @Tinil0
      @Tinil0 9 months ago +11

      @ecapsdira The sad fact being that many cheaters do have the skill to perform at least competitively, if obviously not to the level of their cheating, and if they would've put that extra effort they spent cheating into just practicing more they may legitimately be able to do it. But of course once you cheat, you forfeit the benefit of the doubt forever so it doesn't matter. It's self sabotage.

      @ZimbaMontagne 9 months ago

      @covereye5731 I would say it is an alt step 1. They are either serious and reveal it as soon as it is approved, or as an excuse when they first get caught.

    Shimmy feels like the prime example of someone who's only "really good" at games and can't accept that they're not "the best." It's not like he's devoid of skill, he just can't handle that he does have a ceiling.

    • @xd_cyrus8350
      @xd_cyrus8350 7 months ago +35

      yeah it's really sad honestly, from looking at his achievements and skill before cheating he was genuinely good, but i do understand that cheating is probably a hard habit to break especially combined with wanting to be the best

    • @rauthe6842
      @rauthe6842 2 months ago +1

      I mean, I'd say average. He definitely could have improved to a higher standard if he put in the effort. Don't really understand NOT putting in the effort to aim and going after an image of being able to aim? Seems a bit hollow but perhaps he's after the recognition not out of passion for the actual thing.

    • @Victard
      @Victard 9 months ago +180

      none of us in the aimtraining community knew his background, its a small community and shimmy was trusted because of his popular static clicking guide (which wasn't good, but that's besides the point).
      He just seemed like a friendly dude who helped people with coaching, guides, playlists, excel sheets and he had a great achievement which nobody knew was cheated.

      @zbou23you thinking ip bans do anything already shows your lack of understanding of the situation cheat makers are always finding new ways to make cheats if it was so easy to completely get rid of then Activision would've done it already

    • @areyouwelldoyouhavebrainda2023
      @areyouwelldoyouhavebrainda2023 17 days ago

      @zbou23 They do. Cheaters have something called HWID-Changers, and you can always play on VPN. Shit's fucked.

    • @someguy4915
      @someguy4915 14 days ago

      @zbou23 IP bans don't work, haven't since at least 30 years. CGNAT, dynamic ranges and IPv6 make that impossible to function properly. You'd end up banning (many) more legitimate players vs cheaters unfortunately. MAC address can be changed easily, most mobile platforms do this by default to avoid tracking... In Windows it's easy to change your MAC address so banning those won't do a thing. HWID banning is questionable at best as there's no 'one unique HWID', it varies wildly per hardware and firmware version making it extremely unreliable unfortunately.
      Game devs should just start implementing cheat detection code that actually detects suspicious/inhuman behavior. Someone getting a lucky flick is fine. Someone flicking onto 10 enemies back to back including through a wall should be an automatic ban...

      I remember when the spaceuk cheating situation was still big; after he quit GD after being exposed for cheating, he tried doing minecraft speedruns-only to be immediately caught cheating again. Then he came back to GD, somehow managed to make a Pointercrate account under the name "clouduk" and managed to get verified runs on there before someone caught on to ban evasion.

      Because now I see the destructive power of a lie
      They`re stronger than truth
      I can`t believe I ever hurt you
      I swear
      I will never to you lie again, please
      Just give me one more chance
      I will never lie to you again
      ...
      Ohhh I`m a liar
      I lie
      Yeah
      I like it
      I feel good
      I`ll lie again

      I promise"

    • @Pixiuchu
      @Pixiuchu 9 months ago +9

      @VulKus117 Some people are just unable to play fair. The DKC speedrun community had a guy who was given many, *many* chances at redemption and even 7 years later he was an a-hole cheater identity thief vandalizer (he finally got banned permanently).
      (Identity thief isn't entirely accurate, but he did pretend to be multiple people and also hosted a competition in which someone won who we believe to just be another alt of his.)
      He'd honestly be a great video for Karl Jobst. But I'd rather move on lol
      tl;dr my main point is 7 years later he didnt change one bit

    • @BriBCG
      @BriBCG 9 months ago +1

      @VulKus117 That's exactly the point though, a lot of the previous cheaters were good enough for people to notice them without cheating they just got caught up in the competition and cheated to gain an extra edge. I'm not convinced this guy is good without cheating.

    • @halofornoobs93
      @halofornoobs93 8 months ago +2

      His "smooth" method is just what the aiming method used to be before full auto weapons became the usual meta weapon in online games. In games like Halo or even older CoD and battlefield games, flickers usually struggled with the DMR's and bolt actions. The problem is that he is using that method for full auto weapons which flicking is better for.

    The thing about Cheaters I find funny is when they're smart enough to make fake timers to appear legit, but at the same time are too dumb or lazy to learn the inner-workings of the game's mechanics to see how it checks for discrepencies.
    Slowing down the in-game time is such an obvious discrepency to spot if you weren't doing it from the start.
    It's how Trackmania cheaters were able to get away with it for literal years before the release of the programme that reads button press durations that then became mandatory to show in your runs.

    • @xenn4985
      @xenn4985 9 months ago +4

      I gave up playing counter-strike because there were too many gaslighting cheaters who would deny their cheating up and down, despite me knowing what all the commonly used cheats look like. If I can't replicate it myself in an offline server, then it makes no sense. The worst was when I called out someone for anti-aim and they denied it up and down, despite me knowing the damage values of the game, testing them out, finding discrepancies, and noticing that my crosshair would be on target and as soon as I would get on target, the enemy player would slide away from it like ice skates, which wasn't natural movement for the game. They even had an instance where they ran straight at me, I was crouched, not moving, so my spread accuracy would have been null--instead, my shots went all around the player instead of on target, like they were outlining the player. I tried it out myself against a bot to see the default spread of the weapon I used, put the bot in the same location, aimed in the exact same manner, and there wasn't any sort of unusual spread to my shots.
      Online FPS's are just riddled with cheaters. Online games in general...riddled with cheaters. If it has a relatively high degree of competitiveness, there are cheaters....they became so easy for me to spot that I stopped playing that game, which I had played since 1.5/1.6 when I was very young.
      One time I saw a replay of a guy using an aimbot, and they weren't even hiding it. They hit someone in the head and the player had a helmet equipped, and in the game, the head recoils from a shot if the player survives that shot, and the crosshair immediately re-locked and reacted to the head recoiling...another time, I would see people hitting shots that were over 1,000ms off in terms of distance to the actual player to the left or right of their crosshair, and they would have very low latency.
      It's just sad, and it's a waste of time. I guess they'll be fine when they find out they're actually damaging their motor skills and reaction times, because every time I've seen a cheater turn off their cheats, their reaction time is somewhere around 400+ms to just react to a target, which is....well, a reaction time of maybe a 90yo. But then they would have reaction times of below 130ms, which is physically impossible. Sometimes they would have their cheats configured to have a TTK of 50ms. Meaning...the enemy appears on screen and it only takes them 50ms to move the mouse perfectly and click, but there is about 38ms of "delay" in everyone's brain, due to something called the firing speed of their neurons, and that cannot be altered, plus the 13ms it takes for light hitting the optic nerve to be registered, so these cheaters are shameless and are fooling no one--at least, they're not fooling anyone who knows the ins and outs of fps games and how our brains work.
