    Making sure the tires are super hot and launching on concrete is the way to go
    Asphalt you have to turn down your punch a lot so it’ll hook and roll out before the power comes down

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  6 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a valid point….I definitely felt like there wasn’t much traction on the black top

      @AquariumAficionado 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@RCKnockout also for the kick out to the left I’m pretty sure it’s cuz of the weight on the left rear wheel from the motor
      I use 1 1/2 the amount of preload on the left rear to make my speed run car track straight, the squat under throttle makes the side with less squat want to kick out
      Which is why you’re kicking out to the left and not the right

    the locked differential is definitely causing the car to spin out in my eyes. i just watched your last video running the drag slash, and it ran almost dead straight without the locked diff. theres a lot of tuning in the diff for rc drag cars to get the car to drive straight, but also accelerate as hard as possible. the tuning also varies surface to surface, partly why traxxas made the differential be able to be dropped out the bottom of the case with the pro transmission on the drag slash for ease of tuning, vs splitting the case open on the normal transmission. my local hobby shop put me onto 500k fluid on the factory diff when i asked for a spool for my 2wd slash (for dirt use but still). he said "a spool will just make you loop out like crazy and you'll never go straight. pack your diff with this 500k fluid and see if that locks it up enough for ya." i didnt really believe him until i saw this video, but the spool really does make it borderline undriveable it seems, and ive now settled on a very thick bearing grease and it does really well for my surface (dirt/clay type surface with patches of carpet). the more locked you make the diff, the less straight it will want to drive essentially (especially 2wd config). just gotta find the balance thats suits you and your needs
    for the 3d printed parts, ive been dabbling with this as well for my slash, look into flexible filaments vs traditional filaments like PLA/abs. flexible filaments should have the flex to take hard hits much like factory plastics. im not sure if you print your own things or not, but worth looking into for sure

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад

      Yeah you’re right….it definitely spins out easier now….did you put the 500k fluid in the stock 272 magnum diff? Or do you have the Magnum 272R? I don’t print my own stuff…..don’t think I’m smart enough to do that lol 😂

    • @Greg.Bosworth
      @Greg.Bosworth 2 года назад +1

      @@RCKnockout @RC Knockout I started off with 500k in the stock 2wd slash vxl diff, did really well until it all flung out. Upgraded to the pro magnum transmission (not sure which one, pretty sure is the same as the drag slash) and I just run really thick wheel bearing grease for now, and it's perfect for my hardpack dirt/clay mix. I might go to the 500k again once conditions start to get muddier. My build is very similar you your "cheapest 2wd slash" project but long arm kit and Traxxas transmission vs the proline like yours

      @RCKnockout  2 года назад +1
