Honestly, the guy is a fucking musical genius. 1 of the best songwriters our countries ever produced. People slated his solo stuff because it didnt have the same kick as the verve but it was never gonna be the verve. The man has an incredible voice and its songs like this that make you realise how much of a genius is. Sounds like im totally bumming him but he's total fucking legend. The Verve are back together and they're fucking rocking!
Once he picked up that acoustic it was downhill. Go back to early verve Grey Skies, Mover, Already There, Feel, Stormy Clouds. So many great songs! I’ve revisited this album and to be fair its not bad but especially considering the current state of music but it’s not great
