Yesterday I was cleaning out some of my old embroidery stuff and came across a kit that cost $2.44!!! and it said candlewicking. Well of course, after investigating, I learned it was the colonial knot! and voila here you are with a wonderful class and within a few minutes I had completed a row of prettier than french knots!!! I had become frustrated with the instructions and of course cast it away and now decades later, it was easy peasy!!! Thank you and thank you youtube for helping me out!!!!

I just started embroidery and your videos have been so helpful and easy to understand. I love the fact that they are short and right to the stitch I need to learn. Thank you 😊

    Wait what’s the difference?

It looks the same, just some people find it easier to consistently get this one right vs a French knot. Maybe because of the way it's wrapped in a figure 8 instead of just around twice?
