I have this kind of relationship with all of my best guy friends and it really does look like this when I'm the only girl hanging out with them. They don't tend to carry me often but we all give each other gifts spontaneously, hugs, they agree to play as a "boyfriend" if I get uncomfortable and need an out. Being a girl, my signs are a little too subtle sometimes so our sign of "get me out of here" is to take each other's hand. If I need an out, I'll take the hand of whoever is closest to me and if they need an out, they do the same to me.
They've saved my life a few times, and step in when someone tries to harass or bully me. All of them confronted a mob and guarded us behind them when the one leading it threatened me and another girl friend of ours. They're peaceful, but they're not harmless.
Half of them are gay so we don't have to worry about romantic tension from our parents or siblings and we always have fun. They're gentlemen when they need (or want) to be and they're complete psychopaths and madmen when we're alone at each other's houses. Loads of fun.
These kinds of relationships are rare but they do exist and they can be created. Find these significant other friends and keep them close. They'll walk by your side through life and you'll basically become a new family. It's comforting to express who you really are and still have an amazing relationship with your friends like this. Everyone needs at least one! I promise you won't be disappointed

It took us about a month to figure out what all of us were like and now, it's been a little less than 10 years since I met some of them and we still talk regularly.
Real friends like this are formed from people who don't critically judge you for little details in your personality or interest. Approach everyone as your real self, and tell them outright who you are and if they like it, they'll stay, if they don't then they won't.
People who don't like who you really are aren't people you want to be friends with anyways. They're hiding in plain sight, they just need to see what you really like so they find that bat signal so to speak.
I attract weirdos so maybe this is just me but... It works.

My best friend is a guy, he isn't toxic, I can say that he is my blessing in my life and help me heal from past scars and trauma.
