Never had a video like this when I went through training but, I did have several jobs where the person training us sounded like the narrator and was constantly cracking jokes while trying to basically imitate these videos but, in person. It was a very common thing in the 2000's.
The 2000
S was like 30 years ago, are you old?
@yasminaunicorn3735 the 2000 wasn't even 25 years ago.... I said the 2000s which would be between 24 and 14 years ago if you account for the few months in between.
Was I the only who thought my TV cut out just before the Narrator was going to reveal the secret formula back when this first aired?
My first time with this episode was on a DVD from Blockbuster. So I thought the disc was cut
You are not alone. I thought the episode crashed or something.
I thought it went over the allotted time it had to air as a kid
I thought that too!
Me too! 😂
19:22 They specifically made this bit as long as they did just to pad out the rest of the episode so they could cut away before revealing the secret formula 😂
I always thought POOP was making fun of unnecessary or convoluted acronyms that people are often taught
It probably was.
No I don't think so.
I love that "Eye of the Tiger" esque music that played throughout the episode
Yes! Me too. I forgot to mention it! 🎶
It’s Quest For The Best by David Reilly. Makes the episode even more cool.
"I don't know what the Board of Health is like in Bikini Bottom"
High mortality rate. High chance of being poisoned and/or beat with a shovel. (yes this in in reference to another episode lol)
The POOP acronym is pretty accurate to what you’ll find in these employee training videos, but they don’t usually mean something quite so obvious 😂
Reminds me of when I used to work for Panera Bread. We used a laptop for our training videos and to get certifications for positions. For the most part, I was a food prepper. I left 2 years ago to pursue other careers.
14:10 How did I never notice that this title card was an electric chair?!
I noticed too. Don’t ask me how I didn’t before😂😂😂😂😂
I never noticed before either
I never noticed that either.
When I was a kid I just thought it was Mr. Krabs chair behind his desk. Never knew it was an electric chair until today lol.
Deadass I always thought it was a throne
This is a certified spongebob classic 🧽🍔🦀
Yes, that’s what everybody else seems to be saying too lol!
7:38 your reaction! 😂 yay you went back to the OG episodes!! Love your reactions every time Mr. Principle!
Thanks so much!!! 😀👍
Mr. Krabs' stingy behavior has even extended over to billing his employees for the most miniscule things (breathing, standing, and even existing to name a few). The episode in question was "Squid on Strike."
Maybe that episode is a good one to react to?
Relates to work rights, employees being treated unfair, and being one of the earlier episodes, is one of the better episodes.
Plankton can’t leave the restaurant with a krabby patty because he can use his science to find out what’s inside. But he has been able to eat one as long as it’s still in the restaurant from what I’ve seen
He should just pay someone to buy one to go for him.
Even then, he couldn't purchase it. He won a promotional contest to win a free Krabby Patty by guessing the amount of sesame seeds in a jar. Mr. Krabs still didn't want to give it to him, and Plankton had to get a lawyer involved, only to then be told he could have the Patty, with the stipulation that he must eat it on the premises.
Plankton could try using his science to transform himself into a different sea creature with a different voice, possibly a fish. Then go to the Krusty Krab to purchase a Krabby to go.
Ah but wait, if he ate it, couldn't he rush back to his lab to analyze the contents of his stomach? 🤔
@@sad_doggo2504 He actually did do that! However, he forgot to account for the other contents of his stomach that had already mixed with the patty ingredients, such as gastric acid, when trying to analyze the contents of the Patty. This made them come out incorrectly and quite disgustingly when he tried serving them to his customers.
The krusty krab serves a variety of items, it's name sake burger of course, kelp fries, coral bites, milkshakes, kelp soda ect plus a few one off items for the sake of particular episodes
Thanks! 😊
In one episode, Plankton has a machine that tells you everything in something, including the kabby patty, and in another episode, his wife Karen gets him a patty by simply buying one. Also, I remember the morning after this episode aired; all the kids at school were going on about how the TV cut out just before the secret formula.
In the earlier episodes, even though he was cheap, Mr. Krabs at least had SOME pride as a businessman and in his reputation. So it makes sense that he'd want his employees to represent him well. Plus, kind and clean employees are more likely to bring back repeat customers.
You mentioned the health board in Bikini Bottom. Well there is another episode where a health inspector comes to the Krusty Krab. The episode is called Nasty Patty.
That one may be better for a Lawyer Reacts video...
Plankton has a molecular analyzer shown in an early episode that deconstructs an item and lists its ingredients. All he needs is a patty.
As stated in his debut episode titled simply plankton
This is my best friend's favorite episode of the show, the reason being that he has seen a lot of training videos in real life and can appreciate the episode's style and humor on a personal level.
Krusty Krab Training Video is the 100th episode segment of SpongeBob SquarePants in production order.
13:58 I never noticed that this is an electric chair
On those rare occasions when Plankton’s schemes get to the patty aspect, he usually has a futuristic gizmo that he can drop it into to chemically analyze it.
In most episodes, he’s actually after the recipe, which is a paper in a bottle hidden somewhere in the restaurant.
Speaking for myself McDonalds has great sofas you can’t really beat the expensive haircuts at KFC though ;)
This is one of my favorite episodes. Learning about the Krusty Krab was important to Spongebob. Squidward dealing with Patrick was too funny
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🍔🍔🍔🤣🤣🤣
14:30 I haven't watched this episode since I became an adult. I NEVER caught the full joke until now. Haha
Narrator: You can't make a Krabby Patty without understanding the phrase 'POOP'.
Principal Brandon: 🤨
Lol yes 😂
17:58
It’s funny cause in other episodes SpongeBob is much more active in stopping plankton
12:31 That kind of cracked me up. Not only could that literally mean ingredients that he dropped, but it could also refer to poop left behind by pests like cockroaches or rats. (Nobody wants those, of course, because they’re major health risks that carry diseases everywhere.)
finally another episode from the third season. This is one of the best episodes from this season, in my opinion.
My favorite gag here is definitely the one with Patrick and Squidward 😄
i actually never expected you to watch something that wasnt really a school episode, cool
Based on viewer requests! 😀
Glad you really enjoyed this episode, it's an iconic classic! 😂
Definitely! 👍
Neptune Spatula is another Burger Making episode. It includes a little burger training by the end of the episode.
This is a training video? Where’s the 20-minute-long segment about how unions will steal your shoes and eat your pets?? 😂
“A Union? Sounds like a load of HOOPLA to me!”
I see you worked at Best Buy too.
This episode excellently portrays marketing lectures. You will cross over acronyms like poop all the time in those lectures.
I forgot how much I loved that episode!
I too would be surprised that Krabs is uptight about hygiene, but that’s reasonable because nobody wants to commit a health code violation.
“Liquid transfer machine” is a cool name to be honest.

Oh, and about the narrator, he’s actually done training videos like this before this episode
I just realized today that the image for “interfacing with your boss” is an electric chair. Yikes.
Yes lol, not a good look!
19:31 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s so dragged on for no reason but so funny the way he ran out of breath🤣
Yes lol 😂
I used to work at Publix too lol. We would have to do the CBTs (Computer Based Training) and there were different ones through out the year
Cool! I’m guessing that didn’t exist in 2000-2002 when I worked there. 😝
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts yeah I was there 2016-21 so different time.
And believe it or not in 2020 they started to allow short beards up to 2 inches
@ClassicallyChristion Cool!
Yeah when I was there they would immediately make you shave or go home if you had any facial hair. I think you could have a mustache.
To answer your questions about Plankton:
1) No, he isn't allowed to purchase a Krabby Patty under normal circumstances due to his desire to copy the recipe or "secret formula", as the characters call it, and sell Krabby Patties at his own restaurant, The Chum Bucket.
2) The most likely reason he doesn't have someone else purchase a patty for him is because he would consider it "cheating", thinking he has to get the formula his way. While this is merely conjecture on my part, it's supported by Plankton's general stubborn attitude, and refusal to receive help from others when it comes to other things he struggles with outside of stealing the recipe.
3) Plankton is a scientific genius, and has developed a molecular analyzer that can tell him the exact makeup of anything he puts into it, so he could either steal the recipe written down on a piece of paper stored in a bottle inside Mr. Krabs' safe, or steal the patty itself.
About point 2: there was an episode, "Plankton's Army", where Karen calls him out on it ("That's your problem, you never let anyone in. Plankton the rock, Plankton the loner..."). He tries to get goons to help, but gets beat up immediately, and that (combined with Squidward saying it in "FUN") tells me that he's hated by basically everyone in Bikini Bottom, so nobody other than his own family would likely be willing to help.
@@MattTOB618 This is true. Fun bit of trivia connecting that episode to this one; the high pitched sped up dialogue Plankton has when Mr. Krabs picks him off the Krabby Patty he attempted to steal in this episode is the dialogue of his attempt at recruiting henchmen in "Plankton's Army" before turning to his family, the legendary "Felicitations malefactors..." speech, to be more specific.
It's true, Plankton doesn't like cheap boring ways to get the formula, he really wants to be flashy with it.
Point 3: Plankton could steal a the Krabby Patty and then drop it inside the molecular analyzer.
Karen buys a Krabby Patty for him at some point, doesn’t she?
Preparing For Krabby Patty The Most Meme Iconoc Of All Time😅😂😅😂
In some ways this also reminds me of the lab safety video we had to watch in Chemistry.
I could see that 😂
Both squid on strike and can you spare a dime are both great episodes that deal with squidward dealing with the world after he quits his job these are 2 awesome episodes i recommend checking them out next.
Thanks! 😊
Plankton is smart enough to analyze a krabby patty and isolate the ingredients
There are two episodes where plankton doesn’t start out getting the formula, but it does turn into that there are others but the ones I am talking about are for opposite reason the first bucket sweet bucket where Karen makes plankton clean up his restaurant and then he makes SpongeBob and Patrick do themselves and then Squidward pride as an artist basically makes him join in. He does decide to use this to steal the formula, but not after the trio decides to take apart the crust the crab, and they basically turn the bucket into the crab. It turns out Mr. Krabs brought the formula with him on vacation. Also, it has a great throw the dog a bone moment for Squidward in the end Mr. Crab complements Squidward on the new decor to the point that he raises the prices on the items and say they’re paying for the advance ambience and the guy who questions why I’m paying for $25 for a single crabby patty. Here’s this he actually agrees with it and pays 100 bucks for 4 patties the other is crabs à la mode basically crabs is so cheap. He keeps his restaurant at 62°. It’s so cold the people do leave then SpongeBob uses patties as ice skates which may cause some problems but then everyone else wants it so crabs turns his restaurant into a skating rink in the end the ice does melt but crabs turn it into a pool, which is also also something I question. The health department would have problems with this also has a diner pet the dog moment for Squidward. Basically he’s enjoying himself with some customers first ice-skating and then synchronized swimming.
So Plankton continuously tries to steal the formula from Mr. Krabs. It's kind of like the Coyote always being after the Road Runner, having no success. And yes, Plankton wants it for the patty's secret recipe/secret ingredient, so Mr. Krabs will not let him have one. As a result Plankton will try various antics, like what you saw here, disguising himself, and other crazy plans. It also shown that Plankton's "business" is consistently empty, so him getting the Krabby Patty is his only hope of success. Also as an episode suggestion, consider "Suds" from season 1. Like this, it's not a school episode, but I think you'll be able to relate to it regardless.
Thanks!
Planktons first episode is very early im sure season 1 and it is appropriately named after him but a full special (as in taking the whole 30 minutes as opposed to how 30 minutes of SpongeBob are usually presented with 2 segments the size of the ones you’ve done so far followed by a commercial break) called friend or foe is the most prominent telling of how the rivalry began ( even though its been contradicted a couple times over the years by typical “its a kid show no one’s paying attention to continuity” rules)
Basically if he gets a hold of a Krabby Patty he could reverse engineer it. And he definitely could get a random customer to buy it for him but he overthinks all his plans. A man who builds his own computer wife is definitely an overthinker.

When I used to work in retail, we did had training videos as soon as we got hired, we would watch it and then I asked them, “when does training start?”, the guy said to me, “it just finished.” Then afterwards, they send me downstairs to a flooring department and I just started working with customers right there and then. So yeah it may be unpleasant how I started, but it was quite effective to help out customers right away. I found a better job afterwards but I still hold that training process with me wherever I go.
Cool!
I never even noticed it was an electric chair till just now
😂
This whole training video is hilarious
9:55 there is an episode with some health regulators. I can’t remember the name of it, but I think it might have been Greasy Buffons, and it’s Mr Krabs and Plankton competing on how to make their food tastier not to give too much away
Nasty patty would also be good for this
Thanks 😊
Everyone's a Squidward employee nowadays
One of my favorite SpongeBob episodes!
2:33 "But I believe SpongeBob can save the world."
there is supposedly a Mandela effect were before the credits of this episode the narrator list items in the the karby patty formeula, and then is cut short
For the sake of argument. Squidwards responsibilities arent as big as SpongeBobs so squidward has more down time could he be wiping tables or doing some extra cleaning? Yes. But hes just not having a good day in this episode
Some people really just hate their jobs😂😂😂
I never noticed that was a Electric chair😂😂😂😂😂
Lol 😂
Love this episode and your reaction, I was smiling most of the way through. Still looking forward to Squirrel Jokes! 😃
Thanks 😊
so for plankton:he has a computer wife named karen who can get the formula IF he gets one, better seen in "Plankton!" | Season 1 Episode 3
Loved your reaction to this, SP! If you want to know why Krabs won't even let Plankton have a krabby patty, I'd suggest watching the episode with his first appearance, "Plankton!," which is a great introduction of the character and his technologically advanced/conniving nature.
Health code, eh? Might I recommend watching Nasty Patty?
I could also recommend the Food Theory trying to solve the Patty formula
Always eating an burger while watching this episode 😁😁😁
Lol 🍔
I have no idea where the “expensive haircut” part came from. That should often be a dead giveaway that it’s not the right answer.
Lol 😂
Ahhhhh, the Employee training tape episode, that's a classic~
Yes it was quite funny! 😆
18:20 - In Plankton's debut episode, he's shown to have a machine that breaks down and analyzes whatever goes inside it. As for him getting a random person to buy one, I guess that's just chalked up to "Rule of Funny". Though Plankton (despite being a tech genius) is a bit ditzy when it comes to common sense, so maybe he just hasnt considered it.
18:20 you know there’s actually an episode that kinda touches on that it’s titled “For Here or to Go” I think I might make a good reaction.
Doesn’t friend or foe touch on it as well?
@@CrabbyDTAwait I don’t remember.
@@t.o.toonstubetwo.4138 yes
Woah, are you actually a school principal? Which school? I think this is really cool that you’re reacting to stuff like this 😄
Yes I am! I cannot share the school name. Thanks for the feedback! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts that is amazing. And I understand if you can’t share the school name, but dang, you’re definitely the coolest principal ever
@@justinbassit8336 Thanks 😊
pllankton has a molechular analyser with that he can anaylse whats in the patty
2:44 theres one episode where spongebob loses his job and goes to 3 different jobs one mexican one chinese snd one hot dog joint and theyre not shown with alot of customers
But ask urself this:why does the krusty krab have a crematorium? What is krabs doing to maintain his monopoly in the local area?
My theory dark as it is is that Mr krabs upon buying thr krusty krab he killed the managers of thr major restaurants of bikini bottom to quickly put himself on top to ensure that no matter how bland his food may seem it would be the best option
I actually didn't before lol everything at the time was "on hands"
They've run that "Plankton stealing the formula" subplot to the ground. They should've ended it with Plankton stealing it and then going to court for violating patent law.
I would recommend watching the episode Hooky! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it, as it’s sort of a PSA, to not spoil it too much!
Thanks! 😊
You should check out the episode strike lmao. It’s where squidward finally gets fed up with krabs greedy ways.
This episode is a classic, good to see you enjoying it! Cheers!
4:25 how you describe this episode 19:10 the rip offs like boat smarts and yellow pavement compared to this
*Sees the start of the video*
Yup! Join the club. I felt the very same way when I first saw it. Consider it a tease from the creator. Rest his soul.
2:02 I had to watch a training video when I started at Kroger
Can you react to documentaries about schools? The one about the cult in the college dorm is a good one “Stolen Youth: Inside the cult at Sarah Lawrence”

5:07 that must’ve been post movie spongebob, cause so don’t remember that. I think the episode Pickles is a bit better, because Mr. Krabs does show legitimate concern for Spongebob in that one.
There's a theory that the krabby patty formula is made out of crab
My favorite episode
I even wrote a parody of it when i worked at taco bell
Wow! Lol 😂😂😂 🌮
0:02 Brandon: HOW DID MY LAPTOP DIE

Hahahahaha
The patty itself seems to be the secret part of the formula, everything else looks to be just regular burger fixings. (Cos when SpongeBob first applies for a job, he makes krabby patties with no problem before he's even hired and told the formula yet) Canonically Krabby Patties are vegan so make of that what you will.
True! 😂👍
I can't believe they did a actual school survival gudie, i see it in the background
Yep! 👍
This is a classic episode
I can’t believe we went through all that- *HOOPLA!*

I can’t believe we went through all that hoopla, and we not only don’t get to hear about the krabby patty secret ingredient/formula, but we also don’t get to hear or see Brandon react to the funniest part of this episode. Although, I understand cuts have to be made somewhere. (Maybe this version didn’t include that?) Other than that, great video, Brandon!
I had to cut it out. I did see it though. Lol. 😂
I’m glad you saw it!
going to say even though the blister sign might be disgusting, it is nothing like the close up gross out gags they do for new sponge bob
Is it just me or did he skip the entire “Hoopla bit”? That’s one of my favorite parts of the episode
I always found it ironic that SpongeBob was able to go through training at the Krusty Krab successfully and is wonderful at his job, yet the same cannot be said for his formal education at Mrs. Puff's Boating School. I realize that I am comparing apples to oranges here, but there is obviously some sort of chemical imbalance in SpongeBob that prevents him from going further in Boating School. I also realize that if he were to successfully obtain his license without caveats, that would potentially mark the end of Mrs. Puff's role on the show, but you'd think that if he were able to succeed in onsite job training, surely he'd be able to pass the actual driven portion of his boating exam, especially considering the amount of times he's taken the test throughout the years.
I agree with what Brandon has said in past videos that no one is truly unteachable, but at some point someone in Bikini Bottom needs to intervene and help SpongeBob out, perhaps like a paraprofessional or something similar. It is also possible that SpongeBob may have a learning disability, yet Mrs. Puff being an educator, has never thought to address this. Usually, early on, if someone has a deficiency in learning, it is detected in infancy or early childhood. I am speaking from experience as it was relayed early on to my mom that I was autistic, with ADHD and thus I had a learning issue that plagued me throughout my school career. I believe SpongeBob may have one as well and I'm surprised Mrs. Puff has never thought of calling in his parents and a psychologist to deduce what the issue is, however, given her dubious background, Mrs. Puff's approach to teaching is in much the same way as Squidward's approach to working the front counter at The Krusty Krab, she may not care that much.
And to everyone who will tell me it's just a show, believe me, I'm well aware, but this is just something to ponder as viewers make their way through the series, which if I'm being honest, gets progressively worse after a certain point. I'd say that after the first feature came out, the series has suffered greatly. It puzzles me how so many people can shut down series like the Ren and Stimpy revival on Spike TV, the infamous "Adult Party Cartoon" program, yet do not in the same breath condemn the later seasons of SpongeBob as they are just as inane and unfunny as "APC" was, SpongeBob is more aggressive, Patrick is dumb as a stump where he at least had rare moments of genius earlier on and the series itself just does not have the same feel as earlier seasons. This is usually when the sad old cowboy takes his horse in the back and shoots it out of its misery but this show has been limping along for so long that death may be too kind.
Brandon, forgive me for going overlong on this, but I needed to air this. Loving your content, keep up the great work and I hope to see you cover the original SAVED BY THE BELL soon.
No problem! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! And thanks for the reminder about Saved by the Bell! 👍
Plankton has a laboratory, so Plankton could analyze what Krabby patty is made of and altought i have never heard enyone saying in this show that he has been banned into Kruty krab, i'm still sure he definitely is banned.
About the health board. Basically there’s an episode where Mr. Krabs and plankton get into a Greece war because apparently Greece makes everything better. It starts with grease basically being lifting that makes chum palatable for people and Mr. Krab having SpongeBob fried two patties. Just put the grease on one on the other, it gets to the point where plankton sold a burnt grease crumb and Mr. Krabs last product is pure Greece on a paper plate as a kind of soup. The best part is Squidward said, I’ll give you points for honesty.
Funny! 😆
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts the episode I was talking about is greasy buffoon and SpongeBob is the one who calls the health inspector showing that he does have limits to Mr. Krabs shenanigans
like these better then new seasons, the new seasons even when school related are hard to react to, as the new season really start to get rid of plot lines and character development in there episode

whats your favorite spongebob episode so far?
