    YEAH I FOUND THIS CHANNEL!!!
    I watch/learn from several YT channels that feature deaf/hearing couples and they are all unique in their own way. BUT as you sign instead of using closed captions you voice what you are signing and it is so very helpful for a student like myself to focus on your hands or what you are mouthing as opposed to glancing down at the captions. I love this!!! Don't change the way you are making your videos... please :) Love the way you sign and then go back and add the voice over. This is so awesome!! 😘

      I watched Part 1 and Part 2. Both of you are really easy to follow. Everyone signs differently as you know and I am super blessed that you are easy to follow and learn from. God bless see you next time!

    I love you twos story. So hope filled and God ordained. Chris that silent dinner experience for you was a reflection of what deaf people feel navigating every day life, never thought of it from a reversed perspective. I love the energy you two send out. Sending you both ISL love from Ireland🤟💛

    Chris I was like you when I first started to sign. I would always ask people to sign slower & finger spell slower. It made it easier for me to understand what people were saying. But I always felt guilty asking. Even though my friends were fine with it. I also did not have much facial expression when I signed. Partly because I was still new to ASL and I was not comfortable yet. But over the past 15 years I've improved a lot. I still struggle to be more expressive sometimes mostly because I have facial weakness on my right side. So I don't have full control. But I try my best. Chris I think that you putting effort in it is what counts.

    Hi Chris & Nallely Nallely was a teacher. Chris was a student.Reading fingerspelling words at a SLOW speed: GLIDE. 😅I definitely recommend starting with the alphabet!! She would help you learn new signs more easily and quickly. 😃Greeting! 🤟✌🏼😃

    Great channel! I'm just now learning ASL, its exciting but a bit overwhelming. I am hearing, and I like that you have the voice over for both of you. One channel I subscribed to, which is a great channel, they sign and I just read captions but its nice to be able to see the signing while listening, since ASL sentance structure is different from English

    Hey, I'm so glad that I found this channel. It's refreshing to see a different kind of relationship where the husband is hearing and the wife is Deaf. I'm looking forward to watching more of your "Deafinitely Us" channel. I have a question for you both: Natalley, how do you communicate with Chris' family, and do they sign? Does your family sign as well? Chris, how long did it actually take for you to reach the level of ASL fluency for you to master?

    Another good one you both! Enjoyed it! You know who that Georgian view is coming from. 😆 Loved how you could incorporate the clips from using Glide too! Very cool. Haha
    So here is a question. That yeah, it’s embarrassing to ask. But I know it’s a real question from many people...
    Is Nallely open to getting a cochlear implant? I am sure it’s expensive. I’m not sure if even insurance from a job would cover it. Perhaps it would be “cosmetic” and not necessary? Just curious to see if that’s something you both would like as something to work toward.

    • @DeafinitelyUs
      @DeafinitelyUs  6 лет назад +1

      Don't want to give the answer away, but we both read your comment, looked at each other, and agreed that is actually a great question. We'll have to make a whole video on just this. Good one, Jacob!

    • @jacobhuggins
      @jacobhuggins 6 лет назад

      Also wanted to add... one more question. Could maybe be incorporated with the other idea. Maybe I missed it, I’m not sure (my science/biology interest kicking in)...Nallely what level of deafness do you experience? I know there are many levels/degrees. Also curious if she has been able to practice speaking with a therapist using any methods, or even with you at home. My cousin went deaf around 6 years old, so he was able to carry a small bit of his early speaking skills in for his life along with signing. As of the last year, around 35 years old, he got a cochlear implant. My Aunt is fluent in ASL since she had to learn for him.
      Chris, you struggling a ton to learn signing is the same as me with Georgian. It’s insanely difficult. I know exactly how you were feeling. Haha
      Again, interesting video. Thanks for sharing! :)

    I have a hard time hearing and understanding when there's a lot of background noise. The music you have playing makes it hard for me to understand your voice over. Can you eliminate the music in future videos?
