Notes on this video:
On the bathtub, you can swap out one of the slabs for a dispenser, fill it with water, and then use redstone to link it to a button. This enables you to fill and empty the tub at will.
On the toilet, you simply must use a diamond helmet on the armor stand. Any other type of helmet would look crazy or disgusting.

Quick tip: Enchanting the helmet makes it look like the water is moving.

Here is a challenge, a toilet that is not 2x2x1 meters and is more on scale with the player.
There should be a mod that downscales blocks come to think of it. 0.5m blocks would be more convenient and solve all of the stair and slab and vertical slab needs.

for the toilet, u can add a birch trapdoor instead of a banner so when you press the button for the (imaginary) flush, it closes the lid for u automatically
