      *it'd be nice to have this narrator call my mornings* "Life emerges from Earth's recesses too soon to take a familiar form."
      My hunger becomes "a Traumatic illusion taking place...Sàted with pancakes hotter than the surface or the sun, spewing molten syrup, orange juices and black coffees...coming together in a process called...breakfast, as it's been for millions of complex lives."
      Or something 😁

      I know!! So sick and tired of all the pseudoscience and non-history. The junk they play could only possibly appeal to people with IQs below 100. But apparently they are trying to appeal more to an audience that enjoys trashy reality shows, as not enough people were interested in the intellectual documentaries. Says something about our society, doesn't it? Sadly, it appears the Travel Channel is going the same way :( . Haven't seen a decent Travel Documentary in months. It's all this "House Hunters" and " Extreme RVs" .

      All of us will vanish, just like the last two years have passed and vanished, when you posted your comment. Our minerals will remain. The heat we produced all our lives will remain. Our consciousness, sorry, that becomes the heat we produced all our lives. Our consciousness will not remain. We are only here for awhile then consciousness vanishes. You are closer to vanishing every day. It has happened to everyone before us. It will happen again. It is just a question of when. For some, it will be today. For others it will be in 75 to 82 years. Everyone disappears. How many have disappeared in the last two years since you posted your comment? But it is acceptable. Our minerals and heat energy we produce produced all our lives, will serve to support the life and consciousness of others, until their consciousness disappears also. The cycle goes forever until Earth's end.

      +Ardent Crusader Do you even ask yourself questions? Hell, do you even attempt to question your beliefs that were HANDED DOWN TO YOU? I don't care if you believe in what I'm assuming is Christianity, but realize that 4,000 religions currently exist (and Christianity is just one of them, but just so happens to have the largest following); also, realize that 2,500 gods are KNOWN to have existed throughout human history.
      You think that you're so special because you just HAPPENED to be born into the "right" religion and "right" society, at the "right" time, believing in the "one true God" (even when I was a Christian, I didn't understand the lack of creativity in God's name... It's just God, not some cool name, like Krishna or Vishnu?)? Excuse my digression.
      How convenient, that you (among all the scientific evidence and progress since the Enlightenment) think you're right, while you think everyone else is going to burn forever, simply because they had the "great misfortune" of believing the wrong fairy-tale or being logical and not believing in any of them. I don't believe in any of them, but I at least have enough humility to admit that I don't know for certain whether or not a god exists (which is why I am an agnostic atheist); and you guys have the nerve to say that people like me are arrogant. Have a nice day, and the next time you think about going to the store, perhaps you should purchase a mirror.

      C. Venom This comment has to be one of the best I've read on RUclips! I'm not sure how well the extremist you're talking to will respond. Probably with some cussing, or other inarticulate means to produce a valid point. Hostility seems to be one of the most popular responses.
      Debating with these people is futile.
      Their true God would be a different true God, if they had been born in a different country. They don't realize this and they'll get around it by saying "God placed me in America".
      That's when I have to call it quits. Just that makes me mad.

    • @christianvennemann9008
      @christianvennemann9008 8 лет назад +2

      Justin Hopkins
      Thanks, I appreciate it. He'll probably come at me with threats of burning forever in hell (how Christ-like), to which I often jokingly say, "Being a nonreligious person in America is hell enough for me," or, "I'm less afraid of being told, 'You're going to hell,' than I am of being told, 'You're going to church today.'"
      I am hopeful, though. I'm part of the 1990-96 portion of the Millennial Generation. In this portion, 36% don't follow any religion in particular. Even though most of them believe in some sort of god or higher power, it's a lot better than arrogantly saying you know what your god does and wants. I'm hoping to visit the UK and mainland Europe (especially super-nonreligious Scandinavia, where the few religious people keep their beliefs to themselves) at some point in the next few years because I want to go to a place where most people don't treat you as a pariah if you reveal your atheism to them (I live in Kentucky, the South, which makes it extra fun for me!). I'm just hoping that troll who commented gets a dosage of reason and asks questions at some point in his life. Hilariously, my first name is Christian!

      Yes everything on earth and the entire universe keeps happening on its own, out of nothing, and by accident.
      Don't you think that the "7 days" is a metaphor or symbolism expressing periods of creation and not actual days?
      After the Big Bang there were only three elements present in the entire universe: Lithium, Helium, and Hydrogen. Can you please explain us how a complex of other elements and life forms could be created out of these three elements? And how out of nothing (before Big Bang) there was something (after a Big Bang)?

    • @Dovid2000
      @Dovid2000 9 лет назад

      I have heard it stated that the Six Days of Creation in the biblical episode of creation are not literally our six, 24-hour days, but a geological timeframe measured in divisions of seven, with each division consisting of many, many years. With the first man, Adam, unto whom God said that on the "DAY" that he eats of the forbidden fruit he would die, it has been shown that one day for God is equivalent to 1,000 years unto man, insofar that Adam died before reaching the age of 1,000 (930 years to be exact), which means in that same "day" (relatively speaking), Adam had died. The Six Days of Creation can only be understood as relative days, rather than man's "day." Logic for logic, we might also say that if God miraculously created the earth from nothing, He is also capable of suddenly cooling down the earth in an instant, which to man or nature's ordinary course is impossible. As for radiometric dating, these atoms are merely the substance that was used to create the earth and which have always been in existence with God. After the atoms solidified into their present form and shape, men were able to roughly calculate the antiquity of such atoms, but still not know what had transpired in the intermediate stage since these atoms first appeared in the universe. With that said, it is not inconceivable that the earth came into its present form 5,775 years ago (anno mundi), rather than 4.6 billion years ago. It's all complicated.

      It is hard for some people to understand God's essence. We, as humans, have been fashioned from the dust, but God had no beginning, nor does He have an end. The earth, the luminaries, and the vast outer space were also created, not from the dust, but from God's utterance. Here, we have already touched on the metaphysical existence of things in our universe, things that are attributed unto God. In fact, God is the place of all such things. Man, being a created entity, doesn't know anything else, nor can he comprehend anything else, since he is limited to think that since he and his world have had a natural beginning, everything else must have had a beginning. Here is where most mortal minds cannot comprehend God in His nature. Enough said.

He said that humans hunted them all and they went extinct and that’s why they’re not around anymore. In The next breath, they tried to convince us that the earth is only 5,000 years old. This was supposed to be a SCIENCE class, not even religious studies. I hated that school... I’d been reading legit books and watching documentaries for years and the argument just wasn’t worth it. • @AvanaVana
    @AvanaVana 2 года назад +2

    This documentary gets a lot wrong. I’ll just mention a few major things from the Precambrian: 1.) the hydrothermal vent/black smoker origin of life is an outdated idea that has largely been dropped by science in favor of shallow surface hydrothermal/clay/geyser theory of the origin of life, or the serpentine/alkaline hydrothermal vent theory of the origin of life. As shown in the documentary, the old theory makes no sense, and the documentary can’t even explain how life just appears from the black smokers. It didn’t. 2.) the early oceans of the earth were highly sulfidic and quite different than today’s ocean chemistry. 3.) asteroids do not just fall to the ocean and sink. They explode in the air, and the chunks that fall down vaporize the ocean and cause huge impact craters, moving aside any overlying ocean. 4.) The ocean and atmosphere were not oxygenated until 2500 million years ago, in what is known as the “Great Oxygenation Event”. There were stromatolites earlier, but they were not Cyanobacteria generally, and though there were whiffs of oxygen produced earlier than the GOE, and Cyanobacteria evolved earlier, they did not dominate and proliferate until after the GOE. 5.) plate tectonics gradually evolved as a mechanism from an earlier “soft mobile lid” phase. The internal heat of the earth does not cause plate tectonics, in the way presented. Plate tectonics is primarily driven by subduction, the sinking of colder, denser lithosphere, into the earth’s mantle, which is caused by the cooling of the earth’s lithosphere and the temperature differential created between the interior of the earth and outer space. Heat does rise and push plates apart, but this force is an order of magnitude weaker than the “slab pull” force of subduction, which pulls, rather than pushes the plates around. Molten material effectively rises passively into the gaps created by subduction pulling plates apart. 6.) Volcanoes do not just appear at the surface spewing lava. When volcanoes erupt under shallow water, they cause violent, “Surtseyan”, or “Phreatomagmatic” eruptions that cause huge explosions. Lava eventually can flow when the volcano is emergent, but first it undergoes a phreatomagmatic eruptive phase. 7.) the first supercontinent was likely created around 1800 million years ago, and is known as either “Columbia” or “Nuna”. Rodinia was not the first supercontinent. There may have been earlier supercontinents, or something similar even in the Archean. Anyway, I appreciate the visual effects and people trying to put out this content, but I wish they did a little bit better job researching. Overall they did a good job.

If so was there water vapor /H2O here while the planet was forming. And that means there had to be oxygen here the whole time as before the stromatellites.

    That's what humanity said. Then it discovered life in the impossible.

    ill add some stuff to the great bombardment. Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune move out, causing disruption in the Kuiper belt. Rocks and comets move towards the Sun, hiding the planets.

    My goodness! It is really awesome! These are the real efforts which needs to be appreciated from the heart! They did a fantastic job. 1 hour & 30 minutes gone just like 1 minute. I couldn’t even blink my eyes. Once again thanks a lot for such a marvellous visualisation and knowledge base

      Matthew Wilson Science is based on testing and observable evidence. If you want the answer to that, study geology, biology, cosmology/astronomy, paleontology, anthropology, physics, etc.. eventually you'll get this collective of facts, and when put together you get the rough story that is being told here.
