Wow, quite the Shaman collection! I'm contemplating getting my first one. Right now I'm undecided between a Shaman and Spydiechef. The siren song of the Shaman is very strong pulling me in that direction.
I love your sensible commentary on acquiring these and admire your persistence in getting ahold of each one. Incredible collection and thanks for sharing.
Just found 2 sprint run Shamans and bought both. The Cruwear Micarta (used in box) and the Carbon Fiber (brand spanking new in box). The collection (of varius knifes) is growing.
I didn't realize that Spyderco had produced over 10 non production Shamans for Sprints/Exclusives. Seems like yesterday I bought the S90V Carbon Fiber Sprint, But was over 2 years now. Time flys and knives accumulate 😀 Thanks for watching and hope your well.
Omg I’m jealous! I just recently fell in love with the shaman! I slept on it for a long time! I have the zwear Micarta and the cutlery shoppe stonewashed!
The ZWEAR Micarta and Cutlery Shoppe Shamans are definitely nice Sean! I love the way the clip matches the Stonewashed blade. Enjoy those knives and thanks for watching.
Buying these and the channel helped pass the time during two spinal surgeries over the last few years! Now I need to start selling some as I definitely don’t need that many. Thanks for watching

Every now and then someone is $100 bucks over, Usually no one buys it. No reason to complain, Especially because the "next" version is usually incoming! Thanks for watching Timothy
I've had fun collecting most all of these on the original drops , With the M4 Satin Jade the only one traded for. Thanks for watching and positive comment.
It's hard to believe how much the Shaman has grown in popularity! I remember the S90V Carbon Fiber Sprint sitting at online vendors for an extended time. If your patient the individual Sprints/Exclusives come up on the sales and trade forums from time to time. Thanks for watching Ronald

Thanks for the positive comments and for watching my friend! I enjoyed making this video today and it was interesting to see the different production numbers. Getting ready to 😴, Have a good day at work.
They're beautiful well built pocket knives that will last a lifetime. The Rex And DLC XHP are some of the best versions! I love CF and S90V, So that Sprint is definitely my favorite! I've found patience is key when trying to get the knife your looking for at a decent price. I've been trying to trade a lot recently too. Good luck on your Shaman pursuit Benjamin and thanks for watching.
So far the Shaman (black DLC serrated) is the only knife tough enough to withstand the abuse of a Transmission Lineman, My sons job. He broke the blade on a PM2 and Liner lock failed on the Tenacious, The Shaman has been solid so far. It really is a great knife ! Thanks for watching kbk
Great video and nice collection of Shaman! The Cutlery Shoppe DLC Orange exclusive was sold out in less than 2 minutes!! While their second exclusive, the Stonewashed Orange one was still available for sale 9-10 hours after it dropped. Btw, have you seen the announcement for the REC's FDE cerakote Shaman? That one will probably sell out within 5 minutes or less.
Thanks for the clarification on the sellout times, I knew one was available for a good amount! I had surgery yesterday and was out of touch most of the afternoon (PST) , A few friends of the channel sent me messages about the new Shaman. I have all the previous REC "Avocado" releases and collect the Shaman, So I'll get one of these hopefully. If I miss on the drop, I'll try and trade/buy on blade forums. Thank you for the positive comments and for watching Gixxer!
I have a few of those. I stumbled across the carbon fiber/s90v in a gun shop this year for under $300. By far my favorite Spyderco model. The only other one I really want is the Jade/M4. Maybe the REC exclusive, if they ever make one.
The Carbon Fiber scales on the S90V sprint are fantastic! It's up there with some of Goldens best work, Along with Fluted Titanium And CF/TI Militaries! The REC release will be madness. The Shaman definitely is a quality knife with great ergos, Thanks for watching Jeffrey!
Not sure being that the length isn't my preferred same as p2 if I did I would snag on a trade then 4 sure I finally got the lil native and wasn't too impressed with the lobster! Sorry to hear about any medical issues waiting to get my date for neck fusion. In Philly
I didn't bite on the lobster after login for Blade HQ on drop day. I decided 4 minutes ahead of time it wasn't for me! It'll definitely be good for trade bait! Good luck on the surgery and hit my email knifevideochannel@gmail.com If you have any questions on weird symptoms or anything else during recovery! @@knifevideochannel4657 I actually was never interested in spyderco but I got a Para 2 one day and that's mainly what I've collected the last few years.

When that day comes, I *will* get one, come hell or high water...a k-carta shaman is the one knife that I could MAYBE see knocking the z-wear model off my “number one” pedestal.

While some in the knife community Don't like Bentos sales practices, I've never had an issue and they're available for everyone to aquire. Thanks for the positive comment and for watching MO! @@knifevideochannel4657 thanks dude. You get anything good during last seconds sale? I got two mystery boxes($250 & $400) plus a native 5 LW maxamet. Hopefully someday I have a collection as extensive as your shamans for a few different models
I've had fun collecting various models over the last few years! I had all exclusive /sprints Para 3 s, Native Chiefs, Lil Natives, Shamans up until the beginning of 2023. My health declined and had major Spinal surgery in May, So kinda slowed buying for some time. I was out of town(off grid) during the recent second sale but did get a $250 mystery box on previous. Got a 15V Shaman and Red ST. Nick's Military 4V! Have you tried serrated knives for use yet? They actually chew through certain media better then plain edge, I'm enjoying using them more. Got a bunch of Seki City K390 serrated on the discontinued sales recently. Enjoy your journey and don't fall into the FOMO 🕳️! Thanks for watching and Happy New Year
@@knifevideochannel4657 I definitely understand about feeling the need to slow down. As much as I love knives I know buying them at the rate I do now is a horrible financial decision. Since February I’ve accumulated 150 knives give or take a few. I try justifying it by telling myself that because I buy the vast majority at heavily discounted prices when the time comes I’ll be able to sell them and recoup most of the money I spent to buy each one. I’m sure those serrated blades work really well. Long before I got into knives, going back like over 10 years up until now ive always carried a Leatherman on my belt at all times. Those serrated blades shred through material. While that serrated blade on the leatherman does work well I just don’t use it or anything else on the leatherman on a day to day basis these past few years. One of those serrated knives I’ll likely keep in the garage for use around the house or in the yard and I really don’t know what to do with the second one. It’ll likely end up going to my brother to be used as a knife while he’s a work painting.
The nice part about Spyderco is there's always the "next" Sprint/Exclusive coming, Of the popular Designs. Keep an eye out on the exchanges too, For better pricing then EBay. Thanks for watching
The black liners were a CQI addition in the last year or so. Some of these exclusives have been rerun and have the black liners/comp lock. Thanks for positive comment and for watching
Thanks you for the positive comments and for watching. The only place to get the Sprints/Exclusives in this video is on the secondary market, Like the Knife exchanges and Ebay unfortunately. The production versions with Serrated Edge is available now. Good luck with your search.
I don't mind the liners being bare, But I know a lot of people would prefer them coated. I think DLC would add to the cost , I wonder if something cheaper would still be durable like blacked out Tenacious? Thanks for watching
zwear same exact thing as cruwear, different company. just like m390,20cv, and 204p. i have the dlc m4, zwear and the REC, will not stop till i get a rex45 and magnacut but anywho... realize this comment is 3 weeks after you posted the vid, so with that being said, did u score a new REC shaman?
I know Carpenter PD#1 and Crucible Cruwear are very close in composition. I've heard that ZWEAR is identical to Cruwear because Crucible makes it for ZAPP?!? I was out of town (actually out of cell range) so I couldn't get in on the REC Shaman! I will end up trading for one eventually though. Thanks for watching
All I see are the partially serrated ones in S30v. I have a stonewashed blade but hope to find one with a DLC blade in a better steel. 20cv would be ideal.
The Production steel is S30V, Hopefully Spyderco changes the Shaman to S45VN like the PM2 and Para 3. Shaman Sprints/Exclusives sellout quick unfortunately!
I don't really keep track to be honest Ian. They add up when your chasing certain models over a few years. 😀 I need to eventually get around (videos) to Manix 2, Native 5, Taichung, And Spydie fixed blades too. Hope your doing well and thanks for watching my friend.
@@knifevideochannel4657 you too james. grey g10 is my favourite colour by far . i am going to start collecting a few 👍 there is one on ebay.com for $275 but not sure if he will post to the uk 😀

Hey man I know it’s been about two years since the release of this video but I had a question. Did you give your son the black shaman?? And if so did he ever say how it held up??
Did give it to him! He used it as an transmission lineman apprentice in Texas and now with Edison. It worked great cutting the heavy media in his daily tasks. Problem was the higher ups kept asking to borrow it so he figured out quick to just keep his Milwaukee hawkbill while on the Job. The shaman is definitely a tough knife for people that need a stout cutter. Thanks for watching

I ended up with multiple of every 15V Sprint, But had back fusion and wasn't able to USA any. Got a second sale 15V Shaman and have used it for over a month exclusively, Love it so far. Thanks for watching
Pretty sure that Spyderco is changing the Shaman to S45VN (like PM2 and P3) as all 3 have been out of stock for a while. The Paramilitary 2 and Para 3 with the new Crucible steel have been in stock lately, So I'm assuming the Shaman is close behind. Thanks for watching
it blows my mind what guys are willing to fork over for this stuff. $210? You could have that thing made for about $21 in the same quality, tolerances, and materials.
Thing you miss Jeff is these knives are for personal enjoyment and MOST have resale values higher than purchase price. At least that's my experience after 5 years collecting. Thanks for watching
Sir, no disrespect, but it's not about whining about not being able to purchase a knife, but people are complaining that some shops or individuals order a huge portion of the particular run that it does not allow others to place their orders when they get sold out instantly. I understand and appreciate the idea of capitalism, but come on...
Some more info for your understanding Gerardo! The Dealer exclusives (REC , DLT, St. Nick's,Etc) are paid for upfront and are theirs to sell only through said dealers sales channels. Sprints are usually 1200 pieces and are distributed to dealers based on sales numbers, Just like dealers from Ford and Chevy. For instance, Bigger Ford dealers that sell huge numbers get more hot sellers (Bronco , Shelby, Lightning truck, Etc) each year then smaller dealers. Same goes for Spyderco retailers! Knife Center and Blade HQ get more allotment of a Sprint then Indiana Knives , Pure Blades, Or Blade Ops. It's capitalism! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching

Absolutely gorgeous collection, Do you know where I would be able to find any online to purchase?
Thanks you for the positive comments and for watching. The only place to get the Sprints/Exclusives in this video is on the secondary market, Like the Knife exchanges and Ebay unfortunately. The production versions with Serrated Edge is available now. Good luck with your search.
they really need to dlc the liners too on All the knifes with black hardware
I don't mind the liners being bare, But I know a lot of people would prefer them coated. I think DLC would add to the cost , I wonder if something cheaper would still be durable like blacked out Tenacious? Thanks for watching
Oooh that S90v w/CF! What’s your favorite?
The DLC 4V Red G10 is probably my favorite, But the Carbon S90V is right there. Thanks for watching
Hey , nice video! Whats your absolute favourite shaman? thx for answer:-)
The S90V Carbon Fiber Sprint is my favorite Shaman that I'll never get rid of, An absolute beauty! Thanks for watching Curtl79
zwear same exact thing as cruwear, different company. just like m390,20cv, and 204p. i have the dlc m4, zwear and the REC, will not stop till i get a rex45 and magnacut but anywho... realize this comment is 3 weeks after you posted the vid, so with that being said, did u score a new REC shaman?
I know Carpenter PD#1 and Crucible Cruwear are very close in composition. I've heard that ZWEAR is identical to Cruwear because Crucible makes it for ZAPP?!?
I was out of town (actually out of cell range) so I couldn't get in on the REC Shaman! I will end up trading for one eventually though. Thanks for watching
Picked up a DLC coated M4 Shaman. Really don’t like DLC coating. Hoping I can find someone to swap me a plain Shaman in M4.
Got mine yesterday, Beautiful knife with the blackout and Micarta! Thanks for watching
Zapp make the zware. It’s a German company. Same thing as cru
Thanks for the info and watching Kris
Sell me anyone of those please…I’ve had the same S30v one for 5 years and missed every sprint run.
Shaman is a great blade, Gifted my son the serrated DLC version for work.
Shaman Sprints/Exclusives sellout quick unfortunately!
hey buddy , great collection . you must spend a fortune brother. but why not 👊👊 how many spydies do you have ?
I don't really keep track to be honest Ian. They add up when your chasing certain models over a few years. 😀
I need to eventually get around (videos) to Manix 2, Native 5, Taichung, And Spydie fixed blades too.
Hope your doing well and thanks for watching my friend.
hey buddy , did you end up keeping the dlt exclusive kapara or are you gonna sell it ? ian.
I ended up keeping the Kapara as I plan on swapping the scales with the production Carbon Fiber Scales. Have a great weekend Ian.
@@knifevideochannel4657 you too james. grey g10 is my favourite colour by far . i am going to start collecting a few 👍 there is one on ebay.com for $275 but not sure if he will post to the uk 😀
@@ianleicester7066 I can watch Blade Forums exchange for one if you want. Just got to let me know your top limit you'll pay for one. No guarantees obviously, But I'll try! Let me know
Hey man I know it’s been about two years since the release of this video but I had a question.
@@knifevideochannel4657 awesome! Thank you for the reply
This is what I'm doing with thr para 3s

@@knifevideochannel4657 yeah man impressive. I have 6 know so just started.
@@kjam87gxp You trying for lightweight models too?
@@knifevideochannel4657 yes
What was your experience with 15V?
I ended up with multiple of every 15V Sprint, But had back fusion and wasn't able to USA any. Got a second sale 15V Shaman and have used it for over a month exclusively, Love it so far. Thanks for watching
Would you sell the red and black shaman?
NFS at this moment! Thanks for watching
Got my M4 today from BHQ
Congrats on your new Micarta Shaman and thanks for watching
@@knifevideochannel4657 thanks I’m switching out the micarta out for Ti. Hope u got one 2.
Who's the manufacturer of the TI scales and is there a big weight penalty? Going to be nice
@@knifevideochannel4657 metonboss the beskar pattern. I have a Ti manix 2 xl and it’s not to heavy .
Sweet! Going to be nice piece Jorddy
Missing the Carbon Fiber one.
The S90V Carbon Fiber Sprint was one of my first Shaman, They're out there on the secondary market occasionally. Thanks for watching
Let me know which one you’re selling.
Thanks for watching Thomas!
sell me a Spyderco Shaman. i cant find any
Pretty sure that Spyderco is changing the Shaman to S45VN (like PM2 and P3) as all 3 have been out of stock for a while. The Paramilitary 2 and Para 3 with the new Crucible steel have been in stock lately, So I'm assuming the Shaman is close behind. Thanks for watching
The drop was only 800
Thanks for watching
it blows my mind what guys are willing to fork over for this stuff.
