StarShine Reflections - Katelyn Tuohy 2015 XC - Part 1

Katelyn Tuohy's first XC season as an 8th grader for the North Rockland Red Raiders was remarkable as she collected a number of victories including a win in the Section 1 State Qualifier Class A race at Bowdoin Park. Her first visit to Bowdoin for the S1 Coaches races also resulted in a win, though it came after a few wrong turns going down the hill as a vexed anonymous official tried to redirect her. With junior Alex Harris and fellow 8th-grader Haleigh Morales composing a strong top trio, the Red Raiders were selected for a spot at NXN Nationals, where they finished 10th and Tuohy 49th as part of a quartet of NY 8th graders there that also Included Morales, Suffern's Mary Hennelly, and Fayetteville-Manlius's Claire Walters.
