Indian cricket is crashing like an overvalued stock market. SL one day series whitewashed, NZ test series whitewashed and now we lose the BGT. Its time to reflect on basics. Can a batter play out a session? Will a bowler bowl in consistent lines and play with the batter's patience and earn wickets? Can our batters play out spinning tracks with ease? Are we confident to play seam and swing bowling? Test cricket is played over 5 days and does our current flock guts it out? We as fans overvalued our cricketing stock too.

Sir I am from Bengal. I remember when Saurav got dropped which was unthinkable after all he did for the team, he showed he was made of steel. He went back to domestic. He used to run mile, bat for hours n score runs galore. Imagine the pain he felt, the humiliation he endured. N it was not that he was picked immediately. Sorry to say, Dravid went on full on Villain mode with Chappel, Tendulkar remained silent selfishly n younger lot spoke here n there n was afraid rightfully. Kumble, Laxman not a single senior came forward in the open to speak for their captain. Ganguly played so well n kept on playing that selectors had to pick him finally. I see Kohli being a 40 year old shoulder tackling a 19 year old kid, showing his pants' pockets to the crowd referring some dark episode od Australian cricket. These are all kiddish games. Management should remove Rohit completely from test cricket. There are various good young openers who should be given chance to open with Yashasvi and Bumrah should be full time captain in test format. Also drop Virat from test cricket so he play domestic cricket and prove his worth like you drop Rahane and Pujara.

I was just suggesting that as Rohit is around 38 year old and in my opinion he is just a ordinary batsman of test format therefore management should not include him in future plans of test team whereas Virat is a legends type player already have more than 9000 runs in test cricket and is 36 year old with good fitness therefore if performs good in domestic then he should given be one more chance.

Vikrant, you are absolutely right. Rule of showing performance must be applied to all, irrespective of seniority and star players. Why there is a discrimination among star players and others. Why the same liberty is not given to Pujara, Sarferaz and Rahane? More ever, team management do want to fond the root cause of team failure. Gambhir also answering superficially and avoiding the truth to bring out. I feel, Gambhir, Rohit and Virat are main culprit for this big loss. This has overshadowed other teammates.

Indian cricket is crashing like an overvalued stock market. SL one day series whitewashed, NZ test series whitewashed and now we lose the BGT. Its time to reflect on basics. Can a batter play out a session? Will a bowler bowl in consistent lines and play with the batter's patience and earn wickets? Can our batters play out spinning tracks with ease? Are we confident to play seam and swing bowling? Test cricket is played over 5 days and does our current flock guts it out? We as fans overvalued our cricketing stock too.

Sir I am from Bengal. I remember when Saurav got dropped which was unthinkable after all he did for the team, he showed he was made of steel. He went back to domestic. He used to run mile, bat for hours n score runs galore. Imagine the pain he felt, the humiliation he endured. N it was not that he was picked immediately. Sorry to say, Dravid went on full on Villain mode with Chappel, Tendulkar remained silent selfishly n younger lot spoke here n there n was afraid rightfully. Kumble, Laxman not a single senior came forward in the open to speak for their captain. Ganguly played so well n kept on playing that selectors had to pick him finally.

Management should remove Rohit completely from test cricket. There are various good young openers who should be given chance to open with Yashasvi and Bumrah should be full time captain in test format. Also drop Virat from test cricket so he play domestic cricket and prove his worth like you drop Rahane and Pujara.

I was just suggesting that as Rohit is around 38 year old and in my opinion he is just a ordinary batsman of test format therefore management should not include him in future plans of test team whereas Virat is a legends type player already have more than 9000 runs in test cricket and is 36 year old with good fitness therefore if performs good in domestic then he should given be one more chance.
