  • While there were several hydroplanes that came away with injuries, there weren’t any injuries to the drivers. Low water levels dropped the size of the loop from two and a half, to two miles.
    Rylee Fitzgerald reports.

My opinion is that these courses are going to become more common. The sport is just holding on. It needs to become more exciting to make a comeback. Boats will be modified to combat the new conditions. More and more fan base. More and more money. More and more teams. More and more FUN!!! H1 is coming back

More boats and run more classes. Plenty of inboards willing to go if invited.

Lift the booze restriction and the park will be packed...the city and race org will make mad bank. We don't want a SeaFair family oriented event!

Really You can't run a boat like that in a short course. It's got to be 2 and a 1/2. Miles

It’s not about that because Seattle is a 2 miles course the problem. with this particular course the current and pushes all the waves to one corner and it gets rough big time rough and with it being shorter they get to the that corner quicker not allowing it to settle just a bit like it would in a 2.5 mile course. The corner he flipped on though was literally just an unfortunate circumstance he unhooked hit the roostertail and up and over he went.

Yes you can. This had nothing to do with course size. They run the GP class at Valleyfield (1 mile) so it can be done.

@@TodPetersen Different size boats. Smaller wakes. Slower speeds.

@@TodPetersen Really when you're running say around 90 to 100. In boat with just a v6 Hanging off the back of it. I can see you Haven't traveled that fast in just a boat. They don't stop on a dime and they don't turn on a dime.

You what's Wild is watching your buddy. Shoot about 30 feet straight up in the air. It had 2 2 seats straight in the line. The guy in the back ended up under the dashboard he survives.

Rylee Fitzgerald, can a boat actually have an injury or is that just some damage?
