The third pot would be my choice. First one is too deep. It is more for a semi-cascsde. The second is too bright and distracts the eye away from the tree. The third has more subtle coloring and is a good size for the tree.

If you have a way to keep it cool and dormant in the winter yeah! Without a cool winter it will probably last a couple (to a few) years before it starts dying from lack of dormant period. If you're looking for a strictly indoor tree, you wanna go for tropicals (trees that dont need seasons). Look where the holly is native to, and do what you can to try and replicate those conditions indoors. Good luck!
