I cycled the Shimanami Kaido in June! Funny to see you take the same route we did. We also visited the Innoshima Flower Center. It looked a little abandoned, I think they were still recovering from the pandemic. But it was still nice to visit!
@tokyokenchan I really appreciate your kindness in providing many informations of Japan . It makes my trip so much easier. I am going solo trip to Hakodate, Aomori, Morioka, kakunodate and sendai from 10/2024 -11/2024. I'm looking forward to being in lovely Japan again.
Thank you so much for watching all videos in this series Matt san. It was really encouraging me to make more videos. I'd like to go back to travel after a short break.
Catching up with watching RUclips and your videos continue to inform on other areas for travelers to visit! We hope that this type of video will continue. We missed participating in your livestream but it’s a great way to learn more about navigating around Tokyo. thank you!
Thank you so much for watching and your super support Kevin san Dale san!! I hope you are doing well and I’m glad you like this video form. A lot need to be improved and reconsidered, but I’d like to continue. For live stream, I did in the evening so there was nobody from the US. I’d like to try in the day time next time. Thank you again. :)
I went to Setoda and stayed at SOIL Setoda twice. It was really nice. The first was when I first visited Japan; the second time I brought to of my friends with me and we stayed there. It was a nice, relaxing experience; and they liked the visiting off-the-beaten-path trip. I really liked the Seto Inland Sea. There's a good book written in 1971 called The Inland Sea by Donald Richie (there's also a film about his book) of him travelling the Seto Inland Sea. Setoda also has a museum for Hirayama Ikuo and a restaurant has lemon-nabe to try. I'd like to go back to spend more time in Onomichi and see Mitarai, Takehara, and maybe see some other islands and towns.
Oh how nice you stayed at the hotel! I think it's definitely a great idea to spend at least a night on the island. I need more time there next time. The book from 1971 sounds very very interesting. I'd like to check it out. Thenk you very much for sharing about the book.
This place looks beautiful to visit.. I realized that Japan has many beautiful places to visit (not just Tokyo). I look forward to see this place in person in the near future. One of my favorite parts in this video is feeding the rabbits :D . Great video as always. Many thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you Dan san! Yes, I'm going to introduce more than 100 places in a few years (hopefully). I really appreciate your support and kind words. I'm glad you liked the rabbits part! 😊 That was my favorite parts too. 🐇 Thank you again Dan san.
Kenchan, this video has a lot of breathtaking views. I really enjoyed your bike trip views, the night view atop Onomichi (or was this in Setodo?), as well as your morning walk in Onomichi. It looks peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for the route suggestions.
Thank you very much for watching Elizabeth san! Yes, night view and morning view is from Onomichi. It's a very nice town with somewhat nostalgic cityscapes. :)
Hello Kenchan Lovely video. Some beautiful villages. Love those cycling paths. Tks a lot Btw I was waiting to watch you having your coffee by the window ( 1655,)😊😊😊
Hi Kengo. All the places you visited were very interesting. I like being away from busy Tokyo. The hotel looked very clean and comfortable and had all the necessities. As an amateur astronomer I love how the Sea Spica cruiser was named. My name, Cassiopeia, is a constellation. Take care.
Thank you. The hotel was very cozy. It was great for solo traveler. How nice you see Stars! That's why your name is cassiopeia. Please take care too. :)
Hi Kengo, I am once again dreaming about Japan, and just saw that you posted a new video. I look forward to enjoy it, as watching your videos is always like a tiny trip to Japan :-). All the best from a very sunny and warm Switzerland.
Oh wow, all the route! I think it's a great idea to stay one night on the way so you can enjoy more of the sceneries. I wonder how it is between Ikuchijima and Imabari. Thank you for watching. :)
Thank you so much for watching all the series of this travel videos Lilly san! I'm glad I could show you different parts of Japan and I'd like to continue. Thank you again. 🌸🥷
I am glad that the rabbits showed you some sympathy and ate your food. My next trip to Japan I plan to stay on ōmishima and spend a week exploring the shimanami kaido by bicycle on short trips to see more than the "blue line" route, I must remember to have a contingency plan for rainy days.
Thanks for the series of videos. On Ikuchi Island, close by to Kosanji Temple is another worthwhile site to visit, Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art. Your video tempts me to return and see the area on bicycle.
Thank you for another great video Kengo san. I haven't decided what I'll do on my next visit to Japan, but there are some really interesting ideas here. I have looked at that bike trip before and it seems that maybe you went from west to east? Do you know if it's usually more windy going one direction than the other?
Thank you so much for watching. Shimanami and Onomichi are great regions to see around. :) The direction was towards north east, and I'm starting in the middle of Shimanami Kaido (Ikuchijima Island). It goes around the islands, so direction chnages time to time, but I don't think I really headed south. For the winter season, I saw several Japanese sites recommending to bike towards Onomichi due to the strong wind coming from west to east. I hope you have a great trip!
Kengo-San, I humbly request that you stop making so many videos of Japan. It's giving me far too many ideas and I will need at least five trips to fit everything in 🤣🤣🤣 In all seriousness, another great video, the Seto Inland sea is such a beautiful area 👍
Kenchan, every time i go to Japan, I will order Sakura sim card . It works very well ... but I don't have Japan local phone number. So ... I can not download taxi app .. Kenchan , can you help to find out, how we can buy sim card with phone number in Japan . Thank you
Hi Connie san, if you are looking for taxi app, you can use GO app, that now allows foreign phone numbers. go.goinc.jp/lp/inbound Also, if you like to get SIM cards with phone number, there is also a plan from Mobal but might be a bit costly for a short term travel. www.mobal.com/japan-esims/?t=st

Its a great video and I have just added new places that I wish to visit in Japan :-). Both the Islands and Onomichi look like my cup of tea.
I loved this. I started from Imabari and rode to Onomichi. Stayed overnight one one island. I really want to do this again 🚲
