Hey--I literally searched this exact title when I was looking at the KS118. I didn't buy that sub just because I wasn't sure how I'd get it in and out of my car and now seeing this is giving FOMO, I feel like it's possible to lift it up in there. Great video---this should be helpful to a lot of other mobile DJs. Thanks man!!
DREAM DAY Charleston I use the same, evolve 50’s. Would you go with a quality 15” sub or 1 18” sub is enough? How big a party you doing with that setup?
J Escalona if you cut the bass out of evolve 50s sub...you can max out this 18 and really push big sound. I’d say 300 people. But it just depends on the room’s design. But...if you’re mostly doing weddings; this 18 could be overkill. I would rather own this than a 15inch sub though, because it gives me flexibility to do larger events. It really hits HARD. Like, either I need the 50s, or I need bigger sound. But nothing in between. Why own the 15 when it may not provide enough sound? Just have one piece of extra equipment with this 18. What kind of events are you doing with this in mind?
DREAM DAY Charleston I have never really had a wedding larger than 200 where the evolves didn’t work, this would be more for corporate Christmas parties, smallish proms, going to try and get bigger prom gigs/homecoming. Wonder if 2 of these and evolves would work for a 500-700 event.
@@jayflorida That's a great question. I haven't tried for anything that large....but I'm thinking it's possible. Ideally you would have a few more PAs for something that size IMO. Just to make sure you're filling the floor from multiple sides.
You can do the same thing without the walmart thing, I do it all the time lol you just gotta squat and make sure to pick up the sub with your legs NOT your back and easy peezy
Damn that’s a bitch. I can two hand the KW181 but it can def ache my back. I’m 6’1 and weigh 165 it is a great workout though however I’m considering selling it and getting two KS212c for portability and extra sub. Still love my KW181 but could easily fit two KS212c as replacement in my SUV.
yeah the KS118 is just awkward for me, I have short arms though. It's not a weight thing, more of a dimension thing. I've been told the KW181 is easier to lift.
donald cannon I’ve been thinking of getting a KS112. Had the ksub and I didn’t like it it sound too muddy than my Ks212c. Sold and upgraded to the ks118 but I want a small sub for my small events. How do you like the Ks112?
@@adamdjxclusivesa8191 hey sorry for taking long just seen your post. Easiest way to break it down. 1 will be able to do 100 easily 2 will do 150. They are good. They wont hit like that. 118. But will hit just enough. But. If u a one man show. U will grow to like them especially. Them late nights. When its you by yourself. Nobody talks about that. And thats the best Point. I plan to get 2 more. To make it a total of 4. So I could hang around 118 😆
Not the case with a high set vehicle like this. At least for my body type and strength level etc. Of course the handle route was already exhausted before searching for an alternative.
Exactly bc im a very small guy and I use the handles the same way yiu yiu use that strap and my way is much easier..once I get it up in the air enough to Rest it on the back truck I can maneuver it, flip it anyway I want it...the same way to unload, I drag it out and use my legs to guide it down on its wheels..
EXACTLY what I was looking for. thank you!
These are clutch! Use them around the house with other things as well. Glad it could help!

Thanks for posting! it gave me an idea of how heavy it is! I don't think I want it now. I might go with the QSC K112 @ 60LB.
Good call! It’s heavy. I rock 2 evolve 50s for most weddings. This puppy is definitely a chore to bring.

Get a bumper bully so your rare bumper doesn't get scratch so much.
Good work!

Can it fit in the back of a Honda car ?
Don’t think so. It’s big.
Nope. But the qsc ks 112. Will fit in there

donald cannon thanks my friend for sharing your opinion. Stay safe and I subbed to your channel!
good idea but the wiggling up the sub makes me cringe. just can throw ur back out in an instant but still great video thanks for sharing.
LOL...ill take 2 ks 112"s!!!
😂😂😂 Cochó
you can literally lift it the same way with the handles on the box.. that looked worse than using the handles all that wiggling to get it up.
